Cont: The Trump Presidency 11: Insert something funny

I guess the head of Google is explaining to Congress why that when you Google 'idiot' in images you see photos of Trump. Hilarious.

I think a better way to 'own' trump would be to remind him (in front of the cameras) that during the election he was promising that Mexico would pay for the wall. Then watch him try to justify adding the wall to the U.S. budget.

I agree.

The Idiot basically justtook credit the Shutdown if it happens.
Inredibly stupid. Even if you think you can win a shutdown crisis, you make it look like the other guy is responsible. That is politics 101.

Well, roughly 36% of Americans think that Trump should NOT compromise over the border wall. That's roughly the size of Trump's base support.

Claiming credit for a shutdown may just be a way to play to his base supporters (and screw anyone who is harmed by the shutdown. They shouldn't be getting government money anyways.)

Apparently "what he wants" is to take full ownership of any government shutdown over his unpopular wall.

Oddly, that's not what he seemed to want going in - but he got baited into this position.
Could you say that the democrats were master baiters in this situation?

Yes they do. How the president can be indicted, prosecuted or arrested is simply not addressed in the constitution. I could see indictment being ok but the others not so much. The only thing that removes the power of the presidency from them is impeachment however. So with out that I could see any prosecution being delayed until he is no longer in office.

As soon as the President is under custody he is no longer able to carry out the duties of office and the VP becomes acting President.

The fact that the Constitution doesn’t carve out a reason the President can’t be arrested and jailed means that there is nothing outside existing law to prevent it.

I honestly don’t understand why some think that the indictment and arrest of a sitting President represents some sort of unusual situation.

Impeachment and conviction would follow, (not for this POS, as Republicans are sub-human trash,) quickly.

I know! Still, Schumer's word choice and demeanor weren't optimal. I think Pelosi owned both of them.

Christ...Chuck Schumer trying to act tough is cringe-worthy. Woody Allen is more intimidating.

ETA:

The lies about the wall are astounding. San Diego, Yuma, Tucson, El Paso?

Who are the 10 terrorists?

And how come we were able to catch them without the wall?

So what? Like this will hurt his popularity one bit. None of that matters anymore.

We'd be wise to remember that the last time it was shut down there was a Congressman yelling at a park service member for not allowing access to the park - a scenario he voted for.

Well, that was interesting. I noticed how often Trump interrupted in an effort to keep control.

I also question those stats regarding the wall and the 10 terrorists. I've heard no mention of them at all other than Trump's claim. Of course, I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth without verification from credible sources...which Trump certainly is not.

Exactly no reasonable person believes a single thing he said, that is why he can not defame someone's character. He won a court case because no one can possibly ever take him seriously while president. Because that is how much sense the world makes anymore.
