Yes, it's cherry picking. You "picked" one quote (cherry) from the man's entire body of work over decades and you decided that he was "Osama's good buddy".

That, in fact, is likely a textbook example of cherry picking, particularly when you're using it to excuse the murderous actions of a political ally of your Saviour in Chief.

One doesn't even have to research it if one knows one's history. You do know that there were those two Osama's, right. The "freedom fighter" supported by lovers of Democracy like, say, the United States of America and apparently Mr.Khashoggi.

I can see American moderates writing the same sort of "I wept..." message to the bigoted George Wallace, who started out as a moderate, actually. People change. Khashoggi has been a voice for democracy in the Arab/Muslim world. You conveniently ignore the second part of his tweet, when it's the essence of the message.
