Well, Fox will cover it. I'm sure they can book the rollicking laughs of Jessie Watters and Norm MacDonald. (sic and sic - I don't know how either name is spelled)

They'll do ninety minutes of Trump-approved humor... making fun of all the people he's axed in his first two years. Unfortunately, it'll be like a memorial service and in ninety minutes all they'll have time for is to read the names.
If there had been a comedian again I did wonder if they'd do a "in memory of" skit.

When Trump can't play by the rules and win, he changes the rules so he does win. Pigeon, chess, tantrum, ******** on the board...

I think I disagree. He doesn’t change the rules, he changes the definition of winning and then declares himself a winner. We have tariffs and he claims we are winning because of all the money that is flowing from foreign countries into the US.

Bin Laden lived fairly comfortably in Pakistan, though he couldn't travel freely, I imagine. This is what the incoherent ass meant, I think. Bin Laden's compound was relatively comfortable (which, of course, means beautiful).

This much seems true, far as I know. Bin Laden led a reasonably comfortable life in Pakistan.

You might call it "fairly comfortable.

Being isolated within the confines of a 7/8ths of an acre compound surrounded by an 18 ft high concrete perimeter wall topped with barbed wire, with no telephone lines, no cellphone access and a rudimentary homegrown food supply is not what I would describe as "comfortable"

Colbert is killing tonight. He can say Rep Adam Schitt because Trump Tweeted it. He's taking advantage of it.

Looking forward to it :) With the time-zone thing I watch it a day late in my late evening session on YT. I've grown to love that show so I get bitterly disappointed when they take a 'vacation'.

A federal judge on Monday ordered the Trump administration to resume accepting asylum claims from migrants no matter where or how they entered the United States, dealing at least a temporary setback to the president’s attempt to clamp down on a huge wave of Central Americans crossing the border.

Judge Jon S. Tigar of the United States District Court in San Francisco issued a temporary restraining order that blocks the government from carrying out a new rule that denies protections to people who enter the country illegally. The order, which suspends the rule until the case is decided by the court, applies nationally.

“Whatever the scope of the president’s authority, he may not rewrite the immigration laws to impose a condition that Congress has expressly forbidden,” Mr. Tigar wrote in his order.
Linky.

Last month, President Trump was asked why he hasn’t visited a military base in a combat zone. He offered two explanations. He’s “very busy” at home, he said, and he doesn’t “think it’s overly necessary.”

Last week, the New York Times reported on a third excuse. Trump, aides told the Times, does not believe American troops should be in Afghanistan or Iraq and he fears a visit to the countries “would validate missions he does not truly believe in.”

On Monday, the Washington Post provided a fourth reason why Trump, who calls himself the most pro-military president ever, hasn’t set foot in a war zone: He’s afraid.

Linky.

Boy, that seems like a problem an autocratic commander-in-chief should be able to fix.

I have a third. Every time he hears the words "combat zone" his bone spurs start acting up. It's a reflex action. ;)

He also seems not to be getting the how all these agencies work together thing. Even if Mcraven knew about OBL's location before the CIA brought him in, he still would have to wait for a go ahead, so I'm not sure why Donny is blaming him for not going after OBL sooner.

You don't wait for orders to go in. Have you not seen Lethal Weapon or Beverly Hills Cop?

Just read about Trump's attack on Admiral MCRaven

As a veteran, all I can say is FU Donald.
Mcraven served for 37 years in the Navy, most of it as a Navy SEAL..one of the most dangerous branches of the Military. Trump ,despite his rhetoric, does not give a damn about the military except as a photo op.

So strange that active military hasn't turned their back on him. I know that they generally tend to be conservative, but come on. Trump has done nothing but show contempt for those who have served. He trashed McCain's time as a POW. He has yet to visit an active combat zone to see the troops. He skipped both Armistice ceremonies. He sent active duty troops on a PR deployment to the border over the holidays. What more does he have to do?

Ivanka's use of private email demands that the people unite in opposition. We need to array en masse in front of the White House, and outside every Trump property nationwide. We need our own chant -- one that both inspires the movement and encourages fence-sitters to join, while still showing support for rule of law.

Slap her wrist! Slap her wrist!
