The localised government systems with these county bodies having so much management and oversight responsibility seem archaic. Reminds me of Turkey and it’s systems that must have worked so well for the Ottoman Empire. With modern speedy communications surely it would be better for state and federal bodies to run things completely in order to provide a consistent service with more impartial oversight.

He's been employed by the media as a commentator on the Mueller probe, and has downplayed and excused things which are public knowledge as crimes, all while deflecting blame from Trump, quoting Trump catch-phrases, and advocating for Trump's conspiracy theory that it was really Clinton that the Russians were supporting (via cash donations, no less). I think he's pretty well informed already, and has long since decided which side he's on.
 
With the Acosta incident, and the lying of the WH about it, I think it's clear that Trump and his cronies aren't just unfit for the office, but are also a direct threat to it.

Sessions was a toadie, and he got dumped on by Trump constantly; and then fired.
Whitaker is in a worse position than Sessions, since he hasn't got the Recusal excuse, but won't be able to stop all the non-DOJ probes or House investigations.
Assuming he makes it past the week, Trump is going to make his life hell.
 
I'm kind of surprised that Trump didn't use the loss of the House to discredit the democratic process, though. He could easily hint to cheating on the part of the Democrats and stoke the fire of his base.
 
There's a Caravan of violent, diseased, brown invaders, some of them middle eastern, heading towards the US. Did I mention huge? Trump knows crowd sizes after all! The crisis is so severe that alarm bells are being sounded around the clock, troops deployed.

And here we are two days later, one monumentally unhinged press conference later. Not one damn mention of the Caravan national security emergency.

I once joked that if/when Trump gets impeached we shouldn't tell him, see how long it takes him to notice it.

Admit it, it would be fun to watch.
