Lessons to be learned from the Kavanaugh Hearing

"Fox News finished No. 1 across the board on Wednesday, with Tucker Carlson delivering more adults 25-54 than any other cable news show."

-- TVNewser (Oct 17, 2018)
News? it is alt right dumbed down propaganda feeding trumps delusional ego. The cult watches fox news.

That is funny, trump's minority watch fox, and the rest of the world gets their news from varied sources. The fox news is not news, it is a joke, especially Tucker Carlson.

This is the rhetoric you support? Wait until it's reciprocated.

I'll ask again of all moderates to speak out against this fascist, bullying activity. Before its too late.

Bump for River:
How exactly will it "bite them in the bootay"?

Trump actively supports violent criminal assault, and his supporters can't cheer hard enough.

Why would they get their panties in a bunch over what some anonymous protestors might have done? Because they seem to be really big fans of criminal violence.

What is this fallout you keep predicting? That Trump and his supporters will become even more enamored with violence and violent rhetoric than they already are?

It's unknown whether the aggressors had been paid by Soros, or if they were just responding to Maxine Waters' clarion call.

I guess they should have body slammed McConnell, which President Trump recently informed me is an acceptable thing to do to people you don't like.

River, you are so wrong it's breathtaking.

Yeah, it's just weird. He actually seems to believe that if anyone steps out into the road in front of his car, he is allowed to run them over.

Because human lives matter less than River getting his burgers at the drive-thru on time. And that's the law!

I think all extremists are idiotic, and ignorant. We should put them in a room together and let them have at it until their perceived war is over.

I'm not seeing any far right protesters doing what Antifa does in many major cities. In fact, the tolerance of either side by LE only promotes its growth. (both sides) I think we need to start locking people up on federal charges when they earn it. If not, things will proceed to grow until a point and time where it will start to effect all Americans.

I do not endorse one side, and then condemn the other. All of the extremists committing illegal and violent acts should pay the consequences. No sympathy for partisanship, or sides.

You can lay off the "non-partisan" thing now. I mean, come the **** on...

We've all read your posts, and we're not that stupid.

Your contention is based on Antifas (protesters) breaking at least two laws in order to impede traffic. Also, when doing so they often beat on the peoples cars with batons. This is assault. An armed mob blocking the street, illegally and you're supposed to (according to you and several others here) stop and obey their orders.

Hilarious!

Meanwhile, people trying to legitimately escape this mob are being demonized. Carry on, and think you're correct. Meanwhile, in reality I'll be keeping myself and my family safe.

Beating a car with a stick is "assault"? And deliberatly trying to kill protesters you don't agree with is "keeping myself and my family safe"?

That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever read.

If we follow your logic, River, the tanks of the Chinese Communist Party were justified to run over the protesters on Tiananmen Square - the people were clearly breaking the law.

No, when evil communists do it, it's wrong. But when freedom loving libertarians and /or conservatives do it, that's just awesome.

This is how the "non-partisan" thing works. Just ask River.

I'm sure our finest president will speak out against this sort of mob behavior with a local party head participating. The crazies took over the GOP in Florida (hey, "Florida Man" isn't renowned for no reason, it's fertile ground) and are now about to lose both major races (Sen and Gov). Very stupid. The sway of voters in FL is moderate-to-conservative and letting the crazy right wing take charge is going to cost them.

Trump rallying the goobers up in the panhandle is going to do nothing to offset the backlash in central and southern FL.

Don't worry... I'm sure it won't make him biased at all...

From: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/oct/25/brett-kavanaugh-eureka-club-noel-francisco-emails
Kavanaugh, who was narrowly confirmed to the supreme court earlier this month, participated in monthly evening cocktails and dinners from 2001 to 2003 with a group of men that included Noel Francisco, who now serves as the Trump administration’s solicitor general... Other attendees included a lawyer who is now a top strategic adviser to Rupert Murdoch; the author of the George W Bush-era “torture memos” that were used to justify illegal interrogation techniques; and two lawyers who now frequently appear before the supreme court on behalf of corporate clients.... While Kavanaugh has stated his desire to mentor and promote women to the top ranks of the legal profession, there is no evidence that any woman was ever invited to a Eureka dinner

I'm not sure what people should be more worried about... that Kavanaugh is overly friendly with people who might be arguing cases in front of him, or that he used to belong to an "all mens" dinner club (the adult equivalent of a tree fort with a "No girlz" sign on the door). I suppose its for the best though... if women were allowed in the dinner club, Kavanaugh would have just tried to sexually assault them. They just let you do it you know.
