Lessons to be learned from the Kavanaugh Hearing

You think they spend time rubbing their hands together in their homes going "Mwa ha ha ha! I don't believe a word that I'm posting but I'll find some way today to divide the country!"?

Quite possibly, yes.

Do you know the location they're posting from?

I do not.

And to be clear, neither do I. But I hope the point is clear: It's quite naïve to think that everyone engaged in the debate here is American and simply wants the best for their country.

So when you ask:

You think they spend time rubbing their hands together in their homes going "Mwa ha ha ha! I don't believe a word that I'm posting but I'll find some way today to divide the country!"?

...I think it's quite clear that, yes, many across the internet have precisely that intention.

For example, capitalism expects profit from investment. It's possible to perpetrate fraud in order to produce the expected profits, but the profits must be produced somehow. Government agencies, on the other hand, don't have to be profitable, so there's less evolutionary pressure to improve efficiency or effectiveness.
Nonsense. If anything, government agencies often have more pressure to improve efficiency and effectiveness, because they have to work within a tightly controlled budget and can't employ sneaky tricks to raise cash. And government agencies usually have to met performance goals other than 'make as much money as possible'.

But it's true that the private sector is more 'evolutionary'. And just as in Nature it involves lot of violence and death, with the majority of businesses just barely surviving while a few get fat and lazy. Evolution is actually one of the slowest and least efficient ways to achieve a goal - if it even has one. Capitalism's only goal is to enrich capitalists, and any side effects (good or bad) are purely incidental.

Right, because helping your actual children, is dumb. You only have to take care of them while youre alive. After you die, pffft to the wolves with them!! Depending on the government to supplement them with everything they need is great. Got it.
And if they want to evade those wolves, seems they’d need to do so by dint of their own merits, yes?

You seem to think everyone has some entitled right to an equal starting point in life. It doesn't work that way. However, you will be rewarded by merit and performance in life. Being rewarded by merit, does not mean everyone gets an equal inheritance, or an equal body, or an equal mind.
You seem to think offspring of the wealthy have an entitled right to an unequal (that is, head start) in life.

It works by rewarding people based on performance. The end.
Or works otherwise by rewarding people based on being lucky sperm. Fin.

Sure I have. I've advocated for a system where people can get rewarded based on their performance. (colorblind, sex blind meritocracy) You and others have suggested that meritocracy somehow involves giving up all you've earned after your life, or not being able to share or gift things to others. (insane?)

I'm not quite sure how that is even possible. But whatever.
...and who they’re born to.

"New York resident Ronald DeRisi was arrested Friday for allegedly threatening to murder and assault two U.S. senators over their support for the successful nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, federal authorties said.

"In one voicemail, DeRisi allegedly warned one senator that he had a 'present' for the lawmaker. 'It’s a nine millimeter. Side of your … skull … Yeah, Kavanaugh – I don’t think so,' DeRisi allegedly said."

-- CNBC (Oct 19, 2018)

"Ronald DeRisi made small whimpers of pain as he heard Assistant US Attorney Justina Geraci lay out the case.

"Geraci said DeRisi went to great lengths to hide his identity by using burner phones, a fake name, notes to remind himself what that fake name was and a separate credit card to replenish the phone that he hid in his car from his wife.

"They were measures that show a level of criminal intent, Geraci said.

"He's taken steps to hide what he's done from both his victims and his wife, Gerasi added.

"DeRisi is also alleged to have made the calls to the offices of both senators and the cellphone of one of them. He wanted them to know he knew where they were and how to reach them, Geraci said."

"Ronald DeRisi made small whimpers." Yep, he's the stereotypical liberal.

face palm

I think you misspelled "Yeah, I'm a partisan and proud of it so I'm getting out my pearls over this crazy old seventy-four year old and totally ignoring the Florida Man who did the same thing but threatened Dems."

What's the excuse, there? Hey, he was joking? Freedom of Speech? It's a normal human reaction to Antifa?

Y'all be funny.

Nah, it looks more like this when Police are present. The fact some posters here feel this type of behavior is legal, and non threatening is not only dangerous, but telling.

So your search for TRUTH was a momentary aberration, then. When you couldn't find a loophole in the law* that supported your reprehensible position, you reverted to "They was protesting and they deserved it!"

Your constant linkage to right wing whackjob sites is doing very little for your supposed credibility.

We can close this conversation, now. You haven't a leg to stand on and your argument is a violation of the precepts of even the libertarians. You do not use your car as a weapon. It is illegal. It is immoral. Pretending otherwise is an obscenity.

*Have you tried referring the law to Ziggurat or TBD? If properly invested, they can perform mental gymnastics with a good pair of scissors, a court ruling and a copy of the U.S.C.

Funny that people who call CNN fake news still use it to get the news.

My apologies. Here is a more trustworthy and reliable source:

Long Island Man Arrested for Threatening Kavanaugh-Supporting Senators

Ronald DeRisi, 74, was arrested early Friday morning for threats against two of the United States Senators who supported Kavanaugh’s nomination.

On October 6, Ronald DeRisi targeted a second Senator. "I’m gonna get you," he said, "you better pray this guy don’t get in." Two minutes later he followed with another message: "Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock." After less than an hour, he fired a parting shot. "Listen, you dumb son of a bitch, don’t you know that guy’s a sex offender? How could you not know that… you ******* twit."

My apologies. Here is a more trustworthy and reliable source:

But, wait. Breitbart confirms what CNN told us. CNN, according to an extraordinarily reliable orange hued source, is Fake News. This means they've gotten to Breitbart? The end is near! Breitbart has joined the disloyal opposition.

Or something like that. I'm trying to learn to think like a conservative political whore but apparently I'm still too conscientious and all the contradictions bother me.

No loopholes needed. If you think it's legal to block traffic and divert it according to Antifas whim -- you're delusional. The end.

If you think the police were just kidding, cool. Protesters do NOT have the right to impede traffic, or misdirect them. End of story. You suggesting otherwise is seriously delusional. You think you can stop people from going about their way in the name of protest? Try it. Youll end up with those guys in the video.

Yes, if the charges are true he should be prosecuted. Political violence is the currency of Trump and his supporters. Violations of the law should not be tolerated. That said, if it's legal, it's okay to do to Trump, his supporters and members of his administration. Subverting and opposing Trump is patriotism.

NEW YORK (AP) — A New York man has been charged with threatening to kill two U.S. senators for supporting Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court. Federal prosecutors are not naming the senators who received the threatening messages.

Can't say i am surprised given the venom we have seen from the Left.

TBD, as the defender of a convicted murderer, why do you pretend that this bothers you when actual murder does not?
