I gotta break it to you, the FBI was not investigating a crime, you know that right.
Yes, I know they weren't... I'm saying that they SHOULD have been.

Manchin a yes, Collins a yes:
Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh!
GREAT DAY! #MAGA!

Now Collins is going with the 'Ford is sincere but mistaken' excuse to dismiss her.
Collins thinks people at the party who couldn't remember the incident is proof it didn't happen even though Ford, like a large number of victims don't tell anyone.

there was no Federal Crime.
End. Of. Story.
C'mon, this is absolutely silly
No, they shouldn't. The alleged crime happened out of their jurisdiction. Like I've been saying all along, if Ford wanted justice, she should have gone to the proper authorities. Which are not, and never have been, the FBI.
Again: If Ford had lodged a criminal complaint with the police department that actually had jurisdiction, at any time in the past 30 years, that would have shown up in the FBI's original background check, and probably would have torpedoed Kavanaugh before he even got nominated.
It's simple.
Because at the end of the day there's more at stake here then worrying about which social-political tribe gets its honor besmirched and comes out of this with the most points on its scorecard.
The Republican and Democratic Parties are not anyone's virginal young daughters they just caught in the hayloft with one of the local boys.
You don't need to be this emotionally attacked to a goddamn political party.
Please explain exactly how Brett Kavanaugh will "MAGA".
I predict you won't. I predict you'll pretend that you didn't just tie Kavanaugh's judicial opinions to the concept of making America great again.
But you did. That's how words work.
and will energize the base leading into midterms.
Any 'judicial opinions" he participates in will simply be the icing on an already DYNAMITE CAKE!
Guy Fawkes had the right idea!
The FBI were tasked with the job of finding out if there was any truth to Dr. Ford's allegations. They didn't even try - they were restricted from doing so..
Regardless of our politics the nomination and confirmation of a member of SCOTUS is never something we should be happy to see happen because of a technicality.
You want a Theocracy?
