That's too bad you don't find it shocking. I bet you would if it was your daughter. Also, My late teen and early twenties years were pretty wild as I performed in several bands. If someone I knew was drugging women and raping them they would not only get their ass kicked, they'd be lucky to make it to jail.

Great, be shocked and lose that bet, too.

Now back to your point about last minute - is that just a thinly veiled attempt at saying you don't believe it happened because it didn't come out earlier ?

Kavanaugh is still around - feel free to kick his ass.

I'm not sure a tautology was what you were going for, there. Did you mean to ask if her therapist's notes from 2012 will establish that she said what is claimed she said in 2012?

What kind of verification were you thinking of in your previous post? If corroborative testimony won't cut it with you, what would?

The accuser had 35 years to come out, and several FBI investigations previous on Kanavaugh . This is not the first position he's been up for. It is however highly disputed politically, and those involved behind the scenes seem to be politically motivated.

Are her statements true? I have no idea, but I do find them shocking in many ways. Also troubling if true. Lets see if she has corroboration and any proof. Allegations are just that. It would seem her recall of events is much clearer than Fords, despite her claim of being drugged. Also why would she keep going to these parties? More questions than answers unfortunately. I'd have to read the specifics again on who she is claiming did the drugging or how many times she witnessed this, or who can corroborate by name.

This is a good example of why we should have regulations on voting and how long of a period of time should pass before you can no longer say your peace. Obama got screwed also. Regulation is needed.

Why not?

What matters is whether the nominee is fit, not whether the allegations were made in a timely manner.
A timely decision also matters, otherwise you get paralysis instead of progress. The whole concept of "due diligence" is not to obtain perfect knowledge of the situation, but to make a reasonable effort to gain the knowledge necessary to make a responsible decision.

Surely, if someone came forward at the (artificially chosen) eleventh hour with evidence that a nominee was a murderer or a traitor to the country, then this should matter to the Senate.
This isn't an eleventh hour situation, though. The deadline was artificial, but it was known well in advance. Ford knew months ago that she wanted the confirmation committee to consider her testimony.

Suppose that right before Ginsburg, say, was approved, we learned that she had shot a man in Reno just to watch him die. Are you seriously suggesting that if the information came after your two month deadline, then it shouldn't be considered and the stone-cold Ginsburg should have been approved? What sort of arbitrary nonsense is that? All this guarantees is that some folks who shouldn't be approved would be.
Again, that's not this situation. I understand that for any good rule, there will likely be good exceptions. This is not one of those exceptions.

Below is my correspondence to Mr. Davis of moments ago, together with a sworn declaration from my client. We demand an immediate FBI investigation into the allegations. Under no circumstances should Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed absent a full and complete investigation.

Documents embedded in tweet. Swetnwick's full statement is possibly worse than we'd been led to believe.

Very often self-identifying Incels as a movement are rather on the bitter side and have increasingly low opinions of women as a whole. The low-end are just bitter that women are not having sex with them, the more 'extreme' start saying the world would be better if females were forced to put out for them, etc.

And yes, 'females' as a noun is often a reactionary thing, it may predate incels.
If I remember correctly, James Fenimore Cooper consequently referred to girls and women as "females" in The Last of the Mohicans. The novel was published in 1826, but is set in 1757. Those were the days!

If that's what you believe, then I'm done wasting my time with this conversation.
