NY Times editorial bombshell

Did Slings and Arrows just question someone's partisanship.

Not the partisanship, that's a given. Rather, the personal anecdotes that are now part and parcel of this forum. There is no way to verify these personal stories that are served up as valid argument.

"Don't believe everything you read on the internet."
-- Abraham Lincoln

This is pure nonsense, which should come as no surprise to those who keep lending great meaning to this quote, which is always edited to obscure what he actually said, while deviously attempting to rewrite history.
The clips I put up included Trump speaking an entirety of an answer.

If quotes weren't taken somewhat out of context, they wouldn't be quotes. They'd be transcripts.

.
And S and A is really amusing when it comet to his opinion of the polls; a few weeks ago he was using the polls to try to prove how popular Trump was;now that Trump is dropping in the polls like a stone he implies the polls are nonsense and not to be trusted....and uses a made up antedote to prove it.

Hyperpartisan personal anecdotes posted on the internet? As Jon Lovitz's fictional character Tommy Flanagan would say, "Yeah, that's the ticket."

I'm gonna say that acbytesla has earned himself some credibility over the years, and I see no reason to doubt his word.

You are making the claim there were no people there who were just protesting the removal of the statue and the renaming of the park, so you can provide the proof.

I'm saying that if there were, they were also ok with marching with nazis. Therefore, not even halfway decent people.

I'm not marching with Nazis even if they are marching for universal healthcare. Sorry, I don't hate insurance companies that much.

And the accusation coming from somebody who jus tused a made up anectodte about how most people hang up on pollsters and therefore polls are useless. Of course he spouts this just as Trump's polls number are having severe drops.

And let's remind us what the promotional material for the march was:

ETA: but at least they put the Confederate flag in an appropriate context amongst Nazi imagery.

Right. By the same token, people who voted for Trump despite his racist, sexist, ignorant, self-centered, juvenile and dishonest rhetoric must at the very least be ok with that behaviour.

So one of our Trumpers is more or less saying that having Nazis and White Surpemists as allies to perfectly OK.

Wait, is Augustus Invictus his real name? I'd die to have a name like that!

Two words. Kelly. Anne.

No way. This is obviously masterminded by that brilliant political intellect, Omarosa. All others are mere pawns in her machinations. Whatever hand wrote the op ed was controlled by puppetstrings guided by Omarosa. Tremble before her Richlieuesque skullduggery! She will win the game of thrones! Next week we'll hear another tape, in which Trump confusedly mistakes a painting of a bowl of oranges for a mirror. Sic semper Omarosa!

So you want me to go find them and make the argument for you? Interesting concept, but I'm not playing. Being a skeptic, I'm thinking all of this bobbing and weaving is because there is no there there.

The argument has already been made and substantiated with undeniable evidence.

Trump retweeted white supremacists on several occasions. That connects him directly to white supremacists.

When the best argument you have is that Trump wasn’t calling Nazis and white supremacists “very fine people”, but rather those who celebrate monuments to slavery and treason, it might be time to reconsider your position.

I lean towards and prefer your hypothesis that she exited with a "stay behind" paramilitary "Operation Gladio" army in her wake. Fiona Hill and Pence will certainly be "Aldo Moro'ed" any day now.

Yeah, anyone responding to that invitation knew what they were marching for: racism and treason with a bit a nazi fetish thrown in for good measure. Not even sniffing the feet of decent people, much less fine people.

But, if we can pull up a few of these mythical "fine people" I'm willing to reconsider. You know, after we talk to their black friend.

I like your posts better than mine.

I see, like most lefties you believe -- based on nothing -- that people who fight in wars are fighting for a cause. You believe the Americans who were drafted and fought in Vietnam did so because of their crusade against Communism. Is that correct?
