Well, no. It’s a different kind of bull ****. One is bull **** because her actions simply were not criminal at all. The other is bull **** because they are hitting her with a technicality which she wasn’t savvy enough to avoid, but should never have been prosecuted because there was no underlying crime. The judge is supposed to toss the first kind of bull ****. The prosecutor is supposed to refrain from the second kind.

Snuck a few past the ol' judge, did they?

I think this is the kind of nonsense Trump and his goons are trying to mount as a defense. The 'ol "it can't be obstruction of justice because there is no crime to investigate."

However, "we can't find a crime happened in regards to Benghazi, so let's try to send someone to jail for mishandling classified emails" is okay.

It's just connecting the one to the other that's turning out to be a colossal bitch. For the FBI, anyway. Our resident "skeptics" seem to have it all figured out.

Do you honestly not think that there has been demonstrated to be any connection between the Trump campaign/administration and Russia?

You need to add IMO to the end of that.

As far as I am aware, it has been established that there was in fact Russian meddling going on with the election. I would have thought it would be high priority that any conclusion by any American politician should be investigated and uncovered.

And I would think that Republicans especially would want to know if their top man (Trump) was involved with ball cupping the Russians in anyway - since they are the only true patriots an all.
Well, it is possible to want to remove Trump as soon as possible seeing as he is such an idiot and all, and hoping that the investigation turns up something to do that with.

That doesn't mean that Republicans themselves shouldn't be wanting to make sure he (Trump) or anyone in a position of power in the US for that matter is guilty of collusion in this meddling. As anyone guilty of that (REP or DEM) should be exposed. Either there will be evidence, or there won't. But to stop the investigation before it is properly seen through is just plain unpatriotic (IMO).

You can dislike Trump because of all the stuff he keeps doing and hope that the Russia thing will prove he is corrupt, or you can like Trump and think and hope he is not involved, but still want to see if the F&*^^&g Russians have been messing about with your s@*t and expose any collusion.

I just finished watching The Vietnam War documentary by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick and what I was so surprised about was how easily both Johnson and Nixon lied (many many times) to their public.

Just because there are people who have plead guilty that were in the Trump administration/campaign doesn't mean they were connected to the Trump campaign/administration..............

Just because administration/campaign people have been caught attempting to commit crimes that involve their positions, but haven't been officially charged for them, doesn't mean that they were actually crimes, given that they failed to actually do them..........

FWIW, there's an interactive timeline here detailing all information in the public domain about Trump's connections to Russia, going back to the late 70s.

Trump Tweets

"President Obama thought that Crooked Hillary was going to win the election, so when he was informed by the FBI about Russian Meddling, he said it couldn’t happen, was no big deal, & did NOTHING about it. When I won it became a big deal and the Rigged Witch Hunt headed by Strzok!"

There is so much stupid going on there.

Speak for yourself.

I would feel exactly the same about Russian involvement in and tampering with the election regardless of party or politician.

At this point, I'd like to see Russia attack our elections again to the benefit of liberal candidates. See how these ******** like it.

What are they going to do? Buy a handful of social media ads that maybe have a negligible influence on a race that nobody expected to go that way, and that ended being so close that the losing candidate could have won simply by being slightly less bad? Because I will probably be able to produce some mild outrage about that.

I consider the indictments the demonstration.

What makes you think that the FBI is having difficulties connecting Trump with Russia? I assume that you're not of the opinion that the FBI is necessarily having trouble with absolutely everything in an investigation that has not yet been indicted because, well, quite frankly that's an incredibly stupid opinion. So what, other than what you perceive to be a lack of indictments so far which demonstrate a link between Trump and Russia causes you to believe that the FBI is finding connecting Trump to Russia to be "a colossal bitch"?

But while we're waiting for those, why don't you tell me what demonstration keeps you going in the interim.

What do you mean by "keeps
going"? "Going" in what sense? What makes you believe I am "going"?

I don't care what they do as long as it pisses off conservatives. Isn't that the standard you people have set?

And I'm sure you'll be happy to tell the class what that alternative is?

Just kidding. We all know your confident proclamations are just hot air.

6 posts from Zig here after making his confident proclamation that there are alternatives, yet none actually detail what they are.

File under lie.

The lack of indictments alone probably wouldn't signify much. The lack of indicments related to the focus of the investigation, combined with indictments for things *not* related to the focus of the investigation, suggests that the investigation is struggling to find relevant connections. It certainly doesn't demonstrate the purported connection between Trump and Russia.

I apologize for confusing you with my figures of speech. You seem to believe that a connection between Trump and Russia has been substantially demonstrated. I was asking you what demonstration you had in mind.

Yes they were.
