The new EPA chief is a long-time energy lobbyist.

Wheeler spent a decade lobbying for just the sort of companies the agency regulates, and before that he worked for Sen. James M. Inhofe (R-Okla.), who rejects climate change. Drawing on more than a quarter-century in Washington, Wheeler is expected to pick up where the departing Pruitt left off — only without the controversy that constantly plagued him.
But... but... Trump was supposed get rid of Washington insiders!

Slightly off-topic, but then again not: I went to a music festival yesterday, that had some replicas made of some of the wall prototypes. It's not until you see just how massive this thing is and will be (if it's ever realised, which I doubt), that you realise just how much of a "Stay out, you're not welcome"-signal this is.

... Compare President Trump to George W Bush when he was talking off the cuff and the difference isn't too great..
The difference is huuuge. Bush got vocabulary wrong, he didn't talk anything like Trump.

I had thought your posts were just pessimistic. Now I see there is Trump support in them.

Bit of a red herring. They were rejected after failing background checks. It's nothing new or unusual.
I am curious about this given the percentage of immigrants being discharged is low. I think we should be cautious about drawing conclusions. OTOH, it fits a pattern of bigotry against Muslims and brown people.

Did the organizers of the protest event respond? "Thanks! We try."

He won't see it anyway.
he will stay at the Ambassadors residence over night then travel by air out to Chequers to meet the PM. He isn't going to Downing Street, he isn't going to Buckingham Palace, he is not doing anything in London.

It was going to be a State Visit, Buckingham Palace, State Dinner with the Queen, Carriage Procession etc it's been downgraded and the State Visit will be another time.

Trump tweets

"A vote for Democrats in November is a vote to let MS-13 run wild in our communities, to let drugs pour into our cities, and to take jobs and benefits away from hardworking Americans. Democrats want anarchy, amnesty and chaos - Republicans want LAW, ORDER and JUSTICE!"

"Every day, the brave men and women of ICE are liberating communities from savage gangs like MS-13. We will NOT stand for these vile Democrat smears in law enforcement. We will always stand proudly with the BRAVE HEROES of ICE and BORDER PATROL!"

Trump Tweets

"Thanks to REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP, America is WINNING AGAIN - and America is being RESPECTED again all over the world. Because we are finally putting AMERICA FIRST!"

"JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!"

An interesting one,

trump tweeted

"Just won lawsuit filed by the DNC and a bunch of Democrat crazies trying to claim the Trump Campaign (and others), colluded with Russia. They haven’t figured out that this was an excuse for them losing the election!"

That is false.

A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that a case against Trump’s campaign and former adviser Roger Stone could not proceed in a Washington D.C. court. However, U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Huvelle stressed that her decision was based on technical grounds because the alleged actions were not significantly connected to Washington. She did not take a position on the merits of the claims.

"It bears emphasizing that this Court’s ruling is not based on a finding that there was no collusion between defendants and Russia during the 2016 presidential election," Huvelle wrote. "This is the wrong forum for plaintiffs’ lawsuit. The Court takes no position on the merits of plaintiffs’ claims.”resident Donald Trump falsely claimed Friday that he had “won”

I suspect Trump's narcissism makes him do things against his interest. If Cohen can testify against Trump, Trump's pouting over something like a miffed girlfriend might pout, prevents him from making up and assuring Cohen a pardon.

Cohen want's legal fees. That too might be the reason Trump has left Cohen out in the cold. Trump is too much of a tightwad and perhaps unable to believe he is vulnerable. That might also be the issue.

Clearly there is some issue going on there.

We know how Trump views loyalty*, and how vindictive to imagined slights. We also know that Cohen is under pressure on State charges as well as Federal ones, and it's been reported that Cohen had been treated with contempt* by Trump for a long time, so it seems unlikely that Cohen would like Trump - just the money he provided.

So yes. This is my hope that enough of Trump's allies find it slightly more profitable to throw him under the bus - I'm sure anyone who has worked with him would like to do that if it didn't harm their own prospects.

*Demands it but doesn't give it.

**easy to believe given Trump's behaviour.

It is. Then again the contrast between my guitar playing and that of {insert name of favourite guitar player here} is similarly striking. IMO Obama is and was an excellent orator by any standard - it seems to be something that successful Democratic Party presidential candidates in my lifetime share.

Compare President Trump to George W Bush when he was talking off the cuff and the difference isn't too great.

I know it has, but is there any reliable evidence of President Trump using cocaine ? IMO throwing around unfounded allegations, whether it's of drug use or of mental incapacity, isn't that helpful because it gives his supporters things that they can easily counter and then claim #FakeNews.

Focusing on those things where there is ample evidence, his lying, his flip-flopping, his legal settlements and so on is IMO a better option.

Then you should have no problem finding George Bush quotes that are similar in incoherence to the transcript I posted.

I think your hatred of President Trump has clouded your judgement.
