"The United States is insisting that all countries that have placed artificial Trade Barriers and Tariffs on goods going into their country, remove those Barriers & Tariffs or be met with more than Reciprocity by the U.S.A. Trade must be fair and no longer a one way street!"

"more than Reciprocity"?

What could that mean?

Kidnapping their children and putting them en masse into cages, never to be heard from again?

It would be a threat with some plausibility, something which could be said about few modern presidents.

The words of the President of the United States

"@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous “hair show” with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have “humanized” me-he is taking heat. He called & said “monster ratings.” Be a man Jimmy!"

"House Republicans could easily pass a Bill on Strong Border Security but remember, it still has to pass in the Senate, and for that we need 10 Democrat votes, and all they do is RESIST. They want Open Borders and don’t care about Crime! Need more Republicans to WIN in November!"

I can't see why? It only applies to someone seeking high office, and thus is voluntary.

Mind you - I can't understand how asset forfeiture isn't a Fourth Amendment violation. And no, I don't buy the dodge that it's the state against the asset and not the owner.

Because they make sure no case goes to the supreme court to get it ruled unconstitutional. You can violate the constitution all you want as long as there is no case about it. See faith based initiatives, as no one had standing to challenge it on violating the first amendment it was totally allowed even if unconstitutional.

45 is apparently sending letters to any NATO country not currently spending 2% of their GDP on defence letting those nation states know that he doesn't care what they are doing with their defence forces, if they aren't spending 2% then the US is being cheated.

Hasn't Mattis explained to him that NATO doesn't work like he seems to think it does? Or is Mattis using polysyllabic words and confusing him?

In that case, they are cheating. This isn't something Trump made up. Those governments have agreed to it, and failed to live up to it. They have a deadline to spend it, but only because they failed to reach it before.

He doesn't listen to Mattis anymore.

I seem to recall an awfully similar tweet from no more than 2 or 3 days ago (possibly even yesterday?). The old fart's getting to repeating himself.

US trade policy has always been informed by geopolitics and not trade balances only.
We might want to shift this to some degree for some countries, but demanding that trade treaties must be made only with the US market in mind is synonymous with abdicating the role of global power.

A good starting point would probably be, oh, I dunno, maybe The Huckabee Family? I'm pretty sure Big Mike had opinions on that topic that run quite counter to the comments he's already made.

But we all know their counter arguments:

> Because, Jesus.
> Look, over there! Is that Elvis?

Speaking of Mike....
Racist and dishonest, the Republican twofer.

[blockquote] Harley-Davidson plans to shift the production of some of its bikes out of the US in response to Europe’s new tariffs on motorcycle imports.

In a stock market filing, the company said the EU’s reaction to Donald Trump’s steel tariffs, which will add $2,200 (£1,657) to the average cost of a motorcycle exported from the US to Europe, will result in up to $100m of extra charges over the next couple of years.

To prevent further long-term damage to the company’s revenues, it said the production of motorcycles for EU destinations needs to switch from the US to its international facilities[/blockquote]

Re: Sanders getting 'kicked out' of a restaurant...

Funny how people see themselves:

Sanders Tweeted: I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so

That's what she thinks telling reporters they are liars is.
A few developments:

The manager of the restaurant had an interview where they point out that one of the reasons confronted Sanders and asked her to leave was the Trump administration's treatment of the LGBT community. (This was one of the first things that he talked to his staff about.) The family separation policy was also an issue.

And Trump has gone on the offensive, tweeting:
The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job), rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

First of all, remember, when he calls Sanders a 'fine person', he also used the term 'fine' to refer to neo-nazis at the Charlottesville rally.

Secondly, curious that Sanders would want to eat there if the restaurant was really in such a bad condition.

Lastly, I wonder of the owner of the restaurant would have a cause to sue Trump over his comments. After all, Trump does have a relatively visible forum that he's using to criticize the restaurant (a place that Trump has likely never visited). And his twitter account is often used for official announcements, so the store owner might be able to claim "the government" is targeting him.

Trump supporters consistent with their fact free engagement with the world start harassing the wrong Red Hen restaurant.

Even though Sanders specifically mentioned that the restaurant is in Lexington, Virginia, that hasn’t stopped people from confusing it with a popular restaurant of the same name in DC’s Bloomingdale neighborhood. The two establishments are completely unaffiliated.

Mike Friedman, the chef and co-owner of DC’s Red Hen, says he noticed something was up when he started getting bombarded with social media notifications this morning. Since then, the restaurant has been bombarded with calls, emails, and mistaken Yelp reviews—including death threats. Over the weekend, someone egged the restaurant.

The DC Red Hen sent out an email to media trying to clarify that it has nothing to do with the Red Hen in Lexington. But the problem was exacerbated Monday morning when President Donald Trump himself started tweeting about the incident—without specifying which Red Hen.

The grand experiment of empowering the worst people in the country continues to produce stellar results.
