There is nothing "by accident" about this sort of paranoid, witch-hunting, conspiracy-theory mentality. If they do commit some sort of violent act, it will be entirely intentional, and will proceed organically from the same delusions that leads them to insist that this former homeless encampment is the site of a child sex ring.

As for their "intentions", well, there is a definite debate that can be held regarding their true intentions, which I do not believe are nearly as benign as you seem to. I've lived through too much of those sorts of "good intentions" already to find them anything but a smokescreen for something deeper.

They also posted video where they claimed to have found a decomposing body, but no stills, and I'm not going to listen to the whole sermon.

That appears to be a different, unrelated site. These guys are running around all over the desert outside Tuscon.

ETA: a skull is a skull, though. Police are required to investigate found human remains, even when they're found by the Bubba-patrol.

Nope, it was a militia of nutty folks right from the beginning. They had guns. And the nuttiness makes them a mob. And the extreme religiosity makes them swivel-eyed ranters. So altogether, you have a swivel-eyed ranting armed mob. While child molesters are awful, a swivel-eyed ranting armed mob is equally unhealthy. Someone could very easily get shot by someone claiming Goddidit. Welcome to the USA 2018.

I don't believe there is a distinction. CT idiots ignore the truth and evidence and make up their own version of what happened. The same as liars. And yes, I do believe these guys are intentionally lying. I also believe these guys are the types of people who have the "with me or against me" mentality.

It is the actions of people like this that lead to others shooting up pizza restaurants.

I have a conspiracy theory about the conspiracy theory!

Maybe someone from the Trump admin put them up to the original video, to serve as a beacon drawing other militia people to go down there and scour the desert looking for skeletons they're sure to find, because so many people collapse from dehydration crossing the border, so the border crossing deaths can be reframed as a human rights issue supporting Trump's wall!

The latter, obviously. They don't seem as thought their hearts are in the right place, but I guess it sounded good when you wrote it. They are attention whores and conspiracists and liars. There's no indication that they're actually against human trafficking and rape but plenty of indication that they're out of their gourds.

It's just a strange comment to make... "well, their heart's in the right place". If you want to devote resources and time to saving the unicorn, I'm not going to consider your heart in the right place but your head in a well-known location.

Pizzagate II, Homelesscampgate!

So meanwhile in Tuscon:

Apparently some of the Cliven Bundy crowd havebeen bored with the lack of attention lately decided they needed a new bugaboo.

So when a few of them came across an abandoned homeless camp they decided the place was a child sex ring.

Their evidence? Well there were some straps on a tree, and Barbie doll...

Of course they went ape**** and have been getting the support of the same folks who fell for Pizzagate, attaching thin threads to everything.

Adding to the drama the crew claimed to have found skull of a 9 year old child. Mind you, they found it twenty miles away from the site, and the skull turned out to be from an adult (and apparently some 2800 human remains have been found in the desert since 2000).

Ignoring the polarizing political bent to this craziness, the local first-responders have been begging people to stop calling them and overwhelming their 911 lines.

And of course, they called in all their militia-type buddies to rand their shirts, beg for donations, and generally make a nuisance of themselves.

Also, in a bid to waste even more police time the initiator of this whole nonsense climbed a tower, something he apparently does on a regular basis.

Ride the crazy train, folks.
 
The loons on my firearm forum are eating this one up. If it's on infowars, it's a fact. Sign of the decline of the US populace that these kinds of stories can be so successful.
