Cont: The Trump Presidency VI

The whole thing sounds partly fabricated (ie: based on some sort of truth, like, maybe he was asked to transmit Trump's files through a perfectly legal HIPPA procedure, and he's got a grudge with Trump for being overlooked for some plum job in Washington, so throwing out accusations)....
My you are generous.

Not defending the doc, but he did release a statement about Trump's health (".... will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,") at candidate Trump's request (and possibly his dictation, from the phrasing). The doc might have believed that he had permission to discuss Trump's health with inquiring reporters, especially to praise him.

Maybe in his mind but the licensing board wouldn't buy it. You have to have specific consent to release records. Consent to write a letter is not carte blanche consent.

Since logger thinks that Clinton paying Fusion GPS who hired someone with Russian contacts to do opposition research is treason, then I think we all know the answer to that.

Actually, there may be a possible, glimmer of a hint of a suggestion that there is a silver lining to Trump's win. If HRC won and had the same congress as now, there would even worse performance by government. Impeachment. Wall-to-wall hearings. Fox and Trump madly pounding the illegitimate election. It would have been government as bad as now.

Also, had HRC won, so many GOPers would not be resigning now.

Don't get me wrong. Trump's win is way too high a price to pay for these meager crumbs of comfort.

I totally agree that Trump's public statements are horrible, but that Kennedy and others hid their affairs was more a matter of the times, not their discretion. The press wasn't was aggressive back then.

That's true. I'd put it another way: In those times, the President seemed to have a private life. Highly constrained but still, they got some time off. Not now.

I think it started to change when Gary what's-his-name challenged the press to catch him being "naughty" so they did that very thing, with photos of him on a large boat with a bimbo on his lap. It seems to have been downhill thereafter.

Seems like the biggest story of the week so far so I don't want to miss out on anything!

Isn't this your standard response to any negative media coverage that Trump receives? Disingenuously complain that it's nothing big or important and that you don't really care, even-though you care enough to respond to it anyways?

When the President does it, it is NOT illegal.

--Richard Milhouse Nixon, disgraced former president.

Is this one of those left world views? We’re talking about insulting people who insulted him first. Somehow you bring up a quote like this from Nixon?

And remember, John Dowd, one of Trump's former lawyers, authored the following Tweet:

I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

I'm trying to understand the "why now" part of this.

Working hypothesis is grudge over not getting Jackon's job, which he forgot about for a year but just reminded by seeing Jackson in the news or something.
Or his accountant has just reminded him there is an 12 month outstanding invoice to a Mr D Trump?

I don't know what people and what insults you're talking about. You don't like for a poster to quote Nixon. Who should be quoted, Obama? I'm not sure if you're still referring to Bill Maher, the comedian and talk show host. That seems to be what got you started on this latest.

Maybe you ought to spend some time watching Bill Maher...
Trump insulted him?

All will be good once Trump is impeached and forced to resign.

Oh, wait!

""I'm honored to have you here."

Vice President Mike Pence recognizes ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio during a tax policy event in Arizona, calling Arpaio a "tireless champion of strong borders and the rule of law.""

Did the White House forget that Arpaio is competing in the senate primary and if he wins they can kiss that seat goodbye? Or have they just decided to be explicitly white nationalist?

Neither.

Cheeto Benito has been explicitly white supremacist years before he announced his presidency.

Is it not medical malpractice for a doctor to release a statement about a patient that is basically fictional?

No. No, he has not been explicitly so.

Pretty damned plausible he's a racist, but he is not explicitly[1] a white supremacist.

[1] Words like "explicitly" have meanings.

That story broke yesterday, and I was initially shocked by the level of chutzpah it took to strongarm the kindly doctor when they “raided” his office.

Follow-up reporting quickly provided an alternative take on what actually transpired that day, as reported by the MSM in the matter of a few hours.

Truth is probably somewhere in between, but Trump’s original doctor seems an odd duck with questionable medical ethics.

1) He seems to play loose with confidential patient info, and,

2) He went along with signing a letter he had not written, pertaining to Trump’s fitness.

As an aside, the latter fits a pattern for Trump - taking on the role of another, as he did in those phone interviews, in that case extolling his virtues while pretending to be someone else.
