The Trump Presidency (Act V - The One Where Everybody Dies)

Wonder which ones. Turkey maybe?

China and Qatar. With how many times he's had to revise his 'disclosure' (he really didn't disclose much), there is likely something to be had somewhere in all the dealings he didn't originally disclose.

That was Flynn. The Kushners and the Trumps have been milking rich foreign investors from China and maybe Donnie Jr isn't on his first visit to India. Ivanka has been courting money from some Middle Eastern countries, IIRC.

Flynn was the reason I first thought Turkey. So many are involved with Russia, maybe they'd be similarly all be playing footsy with Ankara.

China wouldn't surprise me, because of all the money and robber-baron phase they seem to be going through. But TBH, there's so much information out there, and so many sources, that I don't even know where to look anymore to start formulating theories - even when I am so inclined.

Trump's most recent tweets about the Russian incitements, and the killings in Florida really illustrate what I've already come to believe. Most people who wish to lie do so by first looking at the accepted facts, then building a lie as best as they can on these as foundations. It may require twisting the accepted facts, distorting them, re-interpreting them, or carefully selecting them, but virtually always they fashion their lies on some core of reality to try to make the lies sound more plausible. And they try to design their lies to form a consistent story.

Trump is perhaps the first public figure I've ever seen who does not bother to attempt to do this. He simply says anything that comes to his head at that moment with no effort to base it on known reality. More frequent than not his lies are the absolute opposite of objective reality and are based on premises that no one of any with any knowledge of the subject believes, whatever their political leanings. Indeed his lies are typically self-contradictory so each fresh lie often completely contradicts a lie he told earlier that day.

The only analogy I can think of is restricted to 2 year olds who have yet to understand how to lie effectively.
"Did you eat that chocolate bar?"
"No, Daddy."
"Then why is there chocolate all over your lips and nose?"
"Um... A bad man came into our house, held me down and smeared it all over me, Daddy. And the candy bar grew wings and jumped on me. And there is no chocolate on my face."

What I can't decide is if Tump has mentally deteriorated so much that he doesn't realize that he is blathering, or if his life of wealth and power, followed by being elected to the Presidency, has convinced him subconciously that he is so important and that people defer to him so much there is simply no requirement for truth no matter how trivial or important the matter.
I am quite certain it passed the noted level some months ago, It is now dangerous and malign.

Junior likes to see poor people smile:
“I don't want to be glib but you can see the poorest of the poor and there is still a smile on a face,” Trump said Tuesday in an interview with CNBC’s Indian affiliate. For the interview, the Trump scion slicked back his hair and donned a dark suit and light blue silk tie. “It is a different spirit than that which you see in other parts of the world, and I think there is something unique about that.”

2018 Mid-term elections can flip the political landscape completely.
Compared to 14-15 months ago, the Republicans today don't look like an attractive party to vote for.

Why? I mean sure they have not been as effective as they said they would be at taking away health care from people but those actual bills were not exactly popular. One unpopular tax cut weight against finally getting a christian dominionist on the supreme court. Sounds pretty good for what they were promising.

I have to speak up on this one.

Donald, Jr. is taking heat for this quote:

There is something about the Indian people that is unique here to other parts of the emerging world.”
“You go through a town, and I don’t mean to be glib about it, but you can see the poorest of the poor, and there is still a smile on a face … It’s a different spirit that you don’t see in other parts of the world where people walk around so solemn.”

It’s being compared with a tone deaf “Let them eat cake!”

I don’t see it.

Thoughts?

It comes off as an attempt to suppress the notion that poor people have it rough, because, "Look! They're smiling!" They're not suffering; they just have "a different spirit".

It's comparable to "let them eat cake" in the sense that it implies a disregard, or lack of understanding, of their situation.

He's completely *********** clueless.

It's a push poll. They start out with more benign questions to disguise their goal then by #10 on they get to the push.

I answer honestly every time and end by pointing out that it is unconstitutional for the President to hold the media accountable.

I'm probably on a list.

If they ask for an email address and you post it, no doubt you are on some GOP donors list.
