The Trump Presidency (Act V - The One Where Everybody Dies)

How very typical ...

Just the other day during his State of the Union address Trump was calling for bi-partisanship, and now Trump is calling Democrats traitors.

Apparantly Trump has never watched a State of the Union address. I remember a recent one where a member of the audience called Obama a liar.

You forgot to run it through the Trump translator, "bi-partisanship" in Trump speak simply means both sides should praise him.

What are you talking about? I Googled subvert before I wrote my post to make sure I used the right words, "undermine the power and authority of (an established system or institution).
"an attempt to subvert democratic government""

If the goal posts are subversion, saying they did not undermine is synonymous.

"Subversion of [our] democracy" is the phrase under discussion. What is being said to be subverted is the democratic process. If your contention now is that the process of democracy has no authority and therefore the word "subvert" can never be correctly applied to it, then you have scored something of an own goal by quoting a dictionary (even if you didn't attribute that quote) which uses almost exactly the same phrase.

Anyway, enough of being Bobbed again.

I didn't argue that. I'm saying democracy puts people into office to use powers such as the power of impeachment. Using that power is not subversion. Nothing about Democracy is undermined by that.

I'll take that as a retraction, then. Refrain from posting if you can't support your claims.

I don't understand this notion that right and wrong are some sort of claim that can be asserted and argued to another party.these follow from axioms adopted by a person. By definition they can't be argued. If two parties have different axioms, a claim by one party that they view X as right cannot be viewed as right by the other party.

What am I missing here?

Looks like many of the initial multi million dollar contacts went to small firms who had no business being awarded the contact.

Previously there was the story about the company hired to fix Puerto Ricos power.

NyTimes reporting a contact for 30 million pounds of food and only 50,000 delivered.

A huge contact for tarps and plastic sheeting and none of it was ever delivered.

At the very least people need to be fired and there needs to be an investigation about improperly awarded contracts.

Well, a certain IL senator - who just happens to be a military veteran, double amputee, and soon-to-be mother - had something to say about that:

"We don't live in a dictatorship or a monarchy. I swore an oath—in the military and in the Senate—to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, not to mindlessly cater to the whims of Cadet Bone Spurs and clap when he demands I clap"
   :D

This past Sunday, an Indianapolis Colts linebacker & his Uber driver were killed in an accident caused by a drunk driver who just happened to also be a illegal immigrant.

So of course Trump used this incident to rail against the dangers of drinking and driving...
Trump, the republicans and the political right-wing after a mass shooting:

"This is not the time to discuss gun control so soon after a tragedy".

Trump, the republicans and the political right-wing after an incident involving illegal immigrants:

"We must act now!"
