The Trump Presidency (Act V - The One Where Everybody Dies)

You seem to find him more consistent than I do. Frankly, I think it depends on the day or hour.

He can be consistent if he thinks someone has dissed him. Obama made a joke about him at a function, therefore he's intractably opposed to everything Obama ever said or did. Including DACA. And now the Dems have embarrassed him by tying DACA to funding the gubmint. He'll never EVER let that go.

I doubt he could be consistent for a whole hour. I put it down to the microsecond, as faint electrical impulses weakly struggle across the loosely-strung threads of fat-choked brain cells, sluggishly working around all the holes and patches of rot. The dim flickers of light are drowned in the fetid darkness and rising damp. Trump's brain is what you'd get if you filled a swamp with gravy and let it rot until it could fit inside a single lumpishly malformed skull. But I'd better stop before I say something hyperbolic or rude about him.

They cooked up a bogus terror report to cite to advance their xenophobia.

But the Department of Homeland Security did not perform that analysis. DHS’ analysts did not contribute to the highly controversial report, The Daily Beast has learned.

According to a government source familiar with the episode, Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ office took charge of the report’s assemblage of statistics—which some terrorism analysts consider highly misleading—and sent it to DHS Secretary Kirstjen M. Nielsen for her imprimatur after it was all but finalized.

“The Trump administration is trying to turn counterterrorism into an immigration issue,” said Charles Kurzman of the University of North Carolina, where he tracks Muslim-American involvement in terrorism.

Career professional analysts at DHS communicated to the Justice Department that the data sought for the report simply did not exist within their department. DHS, multiple sources said, does not track or correlate international terrorism data by citizenship or country of origin, and have warned the Trump administration that doing so risks a misleading portrait of both terrorism and immigration.

The result was that the document released last week did not include the contributions of those career DHS officials tasked with providing professional and objective analysis. They were not asked to participate, and so the document did not reflect their input. The Justice Department took the lead on the report, as its public rollout indicated, complete with a senior Justice official conducting a White House press briefing – without a DHS counterpart.

According to Stormy Daniels, Trump is obsessively afraid of sharks.
Trump per Stormy said:
I donate to all these charities and I would never donate to any charity that helps sharks. I hope all the sharks die.

While this is absurd on several levels, of course the most absurd part is...
"I donate to all these charities"
You scamp.

I think you misunderstand the issues, Minoosh.

You're falling for the GOP talking points which are getting a lot of play on the MSM.

DACA could have been addressed at any point. McConnell refuses to let bills come to the floor.

It's just like McConnell refusing to let anything come to the floor like Duckworth's bill to fund the military until the other budget issues are resolved.

McConnell, IMO, thinks he has a 2018 campaign issue here: make the Democrats look bad. It's a desperate attempt to counter the upcoming 'blue wave'.

And what would you have the Democrats do? Once again let the GOP walk all over them?

On top of that, all the negotiations with Trump really have been like trying to nail jello to the wall. Between Trump being inconsistent and McConnell still prioritizing making the Democrats look bad over anything else, you end up with this result.

QFT!

McConnell is quite the villian of the piece. Even a politically naive Canadian like me can see this all so clearly.

A female senator who was a combat veteran took Trump to task, calling him “Cadet Bonespurs” and pointing out his five deferments put him in a weak position to lecture her about the military.

Zing!

That description might get a Twiiter Retribution; mind you, the Cadet, not the bonespur bit.
If she had called him "General Bonespur", he would have loved it.

Trump should look at what's happening in ZA. Chickens coming home to roost big time for years of corruption and graft. I'm sure it will be the same for Trump soon enough.

Oops!

“Right now, in a number of states, the laws allow a baby to be born from his or her mother’s womb in the ninth month. It is wrong. It has to change.” President Donald J. Trump

I actually heard this live today and thought I had heard it wrong. Apparently not.

He meant to say Torn. I will give him that. I think the thing is focusing on the lie not the slight misspeak. Everyone does that now and then.
