What PR team is that? Peter doesn't realize how foolish that makes him sound to all the people who have interviewed Knox. Chris Cuomo of CNN comes to mind, as does Anna Maria Tramonte of CBC radio. Those were tough interviews when it had not been clear that she'd be eventually exonerated.

Gogerty-Marriott no longer exists (IIRC). The only PR effort is the one Peter himself does. What his comment really means is that no one listens to him.

The "Knox is never challenged" PGP meme is pretty funny considering she took the stand in her defense against a trained professional prosecutor (well, in Italy) whose job it was to cross examine and destroy her. They failed.

We did have very effective presences at some of the RS and AK book promotion sessions, and we brought some of the TV interviewers up to speed pretty effectively.

This for example resulted in ABC’s Katie Couric turning her back on Sollecito after some sharp questions and refusing to say goodbye to him.

I just looked at the Couric interview with Raffaele again. Couric "sharp" questions were pretty standard and she gave him all the time he needed to give answers. She never challenged those answers. As for "turning her back on" him and refusing to say "good-bye" to him, that is not shown in the video at all. However, in the transcripts of the show, Couric most certainly does thank him. More than once:

The level of "success" that the nutters had had on the Couric production team, was the partial success they'd had in shifting the focus from Raffaele to "Knox's behaviour." It ended up simply making Couric herself look a tad confused, esp. the times she'd asked him to explain Knox's behaviour in that time between the murder and their arrest.

Raffaele kept pulling the interview back to his own wrongful imprisonment, Couric wanted to talk about Amanda who wasn't there. "What's Amanda's behaviour/non-behaviour got to do with me?"

Missing almost altogether was any critical questioning about the police's and PM's behaviour - which is what had pulled all this off track to begin with.

Peter Q is correct in the sense that his efforts succeeded in confusing Couric. Where he is off, is his conspiratorial reason why subsequent outlets have been on to him.

The only "crime" revealed in the first two cites (from http://brackety-ack.pages.roanoke.edu/) is that at the end of articles the author of the satires changed the articles' structure with a note making it explicit that the articles were satirical.

Possible explanations for the guilters not recognizing that the two Brackety-Ack articles are satire include, but are not limited to: 1) limitations of reading comprehension; 2) failure to read the articles in their entirety; and 3) desperation to say something seemingly negative related to Amanda Knox and a college that is hosting her talk, when there is no negative information available.
