Vice President Pence‏ tweets
"@VP to lay a wreath at MLK Jr. Memorial w/ @SecondLady. He was a great American leader who inspired a movement & transformed a Nation. He took the words of our Founders to heart to forge a more perfect union based on the notion all men are created equal & in the image of God."

Correct me if I am wrong but a few weeks ago didn't he walk out of a football game because of a peaceful protest by black athletes?

Yes. Apparently they should have taken after King and shut down interstates with an illegal march.

Trump Tweets
Senator Dicky Durbin totally misrepresented what was said at the DACA meeting. Deals can’t get made when there is no trust! Durbin blew DACA and is hurting our Military."

Didn't he say at the 'Greatest Meeting in History' that he would sign whatever they came up with and put in front of him?

Sure but his subordinates have had time to explain to him what his position on this is again and now he really knows what he always intended to say then but happened to say other things because he is the best smarted leader ever.

Where was the President? busy on the golf course would be my guess.
Well given the fact that Trump had a Taco Salad to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I suspect he will probably post a picture of himself eating the most stereotypical "black" food. (Fried chicken and grape soda?)

Complements to the Trump administration staff for successfully containing the President on this holiday. Releasing an appropriate and adequate prepared statement then ensuring that he was sufficiently distracted and shielded from the press to prevent any chance of unscripted comments. Special thanks to the Mar-a-Lago staff. I'm sure some of them would have liked the day off, but protecting our nation from the potential tragedy of Trump making a sincere, heartfelt statement on race relations is more important.

I have a mental image of the waitstaff taking their lives into their own hands by tackling him every time he attempts to snap a selfie while eating a giant slice of watermelon.

It seems to me that of all the irrelevant issues floating around the Trump presidency, whether or not he said "I" or "I'd" is the least relevant.

Convenient distraction from the real issue: that Trump thinks his Tweets constitute a relationship with Kim JU. Doesn't matter if it was now or in the future, in Trump's reality KimJU is a friend, or would be a friend? Take your pick, but as far as Trump is concerned, he's embarrassed he spoke out of his ass and he's trying to hide that.

Just like s-hole country isn't about dissing the countries, it's about dissing the people coming here from those countries. But people are easily distracted from that actual issue.

IIRC the founding fathers never added the bit about "in the image of God".

I'm using the accurate definition. Feel free to provide your formal source for the definition and I will point out how the president is not that.

Why, the fact that you don't want presidents to lead the nation doesn't even register with them. They act as if you never existed.

I'd rather he'd gone completely off the rails. The only thing worse than the Trump monkey *********** a football is when he tries to actually govern.

My desires irrelevant. They don't lead it. They lead the executive branch. They do nothing related to leadership of the nation.

I guess it must be a badge of honor to have your name “verbed”.

But it’s becoming somewhat clearer to me what “Bobbing a thread” means.

Similar to hijacking, but subtly different.

I think.

Maybe someone can come up with a precise definition?

Such an endeavor would become Bobbed.

Leaving by one door as Southern Democrats flooded in through another. Can't say I blame them.

I go back and forth between disgust and amusement when I hear Republicans refer to the party as "the party of Lincoln". They only share the name. The Republican party of Lincoln's time was no more like the Republican party of today than Miley Cyrus is like Cyrus the Great .
