The site appears to be a mixed bag. The apparent signal to noise ratio is not encouraging. For example, the article listing "scientific" errors in the Quran inexplicably includes a bunch of theological and historical claims. Such sloppy editing and organization is not encouraging.

That passage appears to be claming Christians worship Mary, Mother of Jesus, as a deity. Do you believe that is what the passage is claming?

Thanks for letting me know. I haven't read through that site. I am not so much interested in learning from them than using them as a tool for people like the OP.

He will believe anything the Koran says. If it doesn't match the reality, he will either re-interpret it or the reality. He will go as far as saying that christianity has changed. :) I have been where he was. And it is soooo embarrassing to me now, thinking back...

It was just my way of performing a reading comprehension test on him. The stereotypical Turkish the OP promised was confirmed to be true. Fortunately I know enough native Turkish people in my own country to know that's not the general case.

It looks like an interesting site. It may be a useful place to get ideas for further research, but I would avoid citing it directly due to its apparent reputation.

Actually, it seems he will believe anything the Koran can be twisted into*. We went this route a while back with another fervid believer who couldn't tell the difference between cat and dog.

"to attribute a partner to God," has got very different versions.

For example, ; your saints and priests like your Gods.

They share in the judgment of God (In christianity).

9:31 "They took their scholars and priests to be lords besides God, and the Messiah son of Mary, while they were only commanded to serve One god, there is no god but He, be He glorified for what they set up."

Does that mean you do NOT believe that Christians worship Mary, Mother of Jesus?

If you do not believe Christians worship Mary, Mother of Jesus, do you consider the belief that the Koran claims as much to be the result of a translation error?
