Penultimate Amazing
That would be fine if it were true, but if you are on a life raft in the sea and waves are all there is to see, then imagining land will not save you. If anything, jumping in to swim to land that is not there will add frustration. If you are on a life raft in the see and you just see the waves you will have less quality of life than seeing also the land beyond the waves.
What is the use of "squeezing" every opportunity to enrich your life while there will soon be no life.
But if you know you will have the benefit in the future of "squeezing" every opportunity then it is worth it.
You make the huge and insurmountable mistake that so many theists and believers make, in imagining that belief is optional. It is not, at least for many. I'm reminded of Madame Blavatsky's (or it might have been Annie Besant's - I get them confused - but it could easily be both) argument for reincarnation, which boiled down to the observation that it would be nicer if true. To decide what is true on the basis of something other than evidence that it's true is a mental shortcut not everyone enjoys.
The use of squeezing opportunity into one's life is simply that that is what life is about. Life is about living while you're alive and leaving society a little better when you go. If you don't believe there is an afterlife, it does not matter a whit what you wish.
