That's my guess as well.

A silly video of Trump wrasslin'-punchin' a CNN logo pasting is levity. CNN touting it as "violence against media" just makes them look stupid.

It's the other postings, with apparently anti-Jewish and other stuff that probably had him pooping bricks.

Adding laws means the existing concepts were inadequate to capture what you are doing. That is my whole point. The concept of blackmail doesn't capture that revealing identity scenario. The fact they had to change the law for that scenario is circumstantial evidence of that interpretation.

blackmail is a general term for CNN's misconduct, the fact that the legislature has enacted more specific legislation does not change that fact.

It's useful to note that Trump wasn't just retweeting. He went out and found the video in a racist reddit forum for his fans and tweeted it. It lets you know what Trump and his media team are marinating their brains in: anti-Semitic, racist and bigoted crap.

The original GIF did not have sound. Ergo, what POTUS tweeted was not the same GIF.

That is somehow supposed to be an important difference, I guess.

It does. Are these professional connected adults? Are they loners? Is there a broader group of anti semitic coordination behind Trump? Is he truly just some guy or is he part of a network? His identity would clarify that.
