Brilliant Light Power Going To Market - Free Energy Generator

No kidding! So just using the 'waste heat'? Now that this is such a sensibly engineered project, how can I invest?
You do realise the only legit business play is take the working prototype to a space heating manufacturer and sell a license deal with an upfront guarantee and a royalty......

Then take the royalty and
1) start paying back investors
2) pay for research on the photovoltaics system.

The problem has always been though that there is no such thing as a hydrino, and none of his prototypes actually work. Never have. They produce heat and light as they burn out. Nothing more than that. Whether they burn out fast or burn out slow, the same end result.

The dark matter thing is pure fantasy designed to dupe investors because the businesses that might be interested in a new technology simply have not been shown anything worthy of spending money on to buy a license to manufacture anything at all. Not a generator, and not a heater either.

I have gone on record as willing to eat crow if anything Mills is doing actually ever pans out. Hell I'll even eat my hat if he actually ever produces a single solitary hydrino for verification.:boxedin:

It's sad too because that's a whole lot of investor money wasted. Countless researchers and small businesses could do soooo much with even 1% of that start-up funding. Hell I could do a legit proof of concept of my own Ag research with 0.0002% of the money he raised so far. And if it worked (no guarantees) it really could change the world. Just sad really. What a waste.

Dr. Mills just updated. It looks like there is a delay on the concentrated photovoltaic front. They will be going to a heater product initially. (Which makes logical and evolutionary sense imo.) Still working on issues around 'closing the dome', which is a huge step.

Where is this update? Or was this information contained in a phone with him.

Just remembered an earlier claim by the thread starter:

Darat said:
PV is an established technology.

Masimo Semiconductor already has the concentrator PV cells developed and will be delivering the first PV dome on the 13th. Mills doesn't have to wait for anything.

The claims are a tad diffuse but happy to take your word for it.

Now why has he waited until now to get these "PV cells" when he has had a power supply that could have been used back in 1996 (or earlier) with existing technology.

Hmm... seems that someone may have been telling porkie-pies.

Wasn't it just a mere 20 plus years ago that he was waiting for a heat exchanger to be delivered?

All these people keep letting him down, don't they know they are holding back the single most important energy system in human history?

If markie was telling the truth thought I'd capture Brilliantlight home page before that gets deleted or retrofitted.

ELECTRICAL POWER FROM HYDROGEN TO DARK MATTER

Brilliant Light Power has developed a new commercially competitive, non-polluting, plasma-based primary source of massive power from the conversion of hydrogen atoms of water molecules to dark matter, the previously unidentified matter that makes up most of the mass of the universe. The SunCell® that was invented to harness the new power source catalytically converts hydrogen directly into dark matter form called Hydrino® releasing brilliant high-energy light which is down-converted in energy to facilitate the production of electricity using commercially-available concentrator photovoltaic cells.

Not read that page for sometime.

markie - if your information is accurate how do you square what you've just found out with the clear as day claim from Mills that "...production of electricity using commercially-available concentrator photovoltaic cells.."?

This is reminding me of the Not the Nine O'clock News sketch in which the chief contractor in charge of building the Channel Tunnel said he hadn't started yet because he was waiting for a skip.

You might have to translate that for those of us who speak English, not English.

A large open-topped container for rubbish, delivered by truck, normally placed on the tarmac at a pinch point in a suburban residential road for about three years while somebody fails to improve the value of an uninspiringly commonplace house by throwing away everything that gives it a shred of character. "Waiting for a skip" is the sort of excuse builders use for inexplicable delays to otherwise trivial jobs.

Ahh, what we call "Dumpsters" here in the USA. The same term tends to be used for both the commercial and industrial versions, although most people are only familiar with the commercial versions.

That page certainly sounds like the SunCell is complete and operating and producing electricity, doesn't it. But it isn't. That's one of those so - called "forward looking statements". People who have been following relatively closely know this. The SunCell *has* been operating, but it hasn't been operating as a closed dome unit, producing electricity. There has been a hole at the top of the dome for monitoring the reaction and actively venting heat and vapour out. It can operate like that for hours. But again, that isn't the closed dome, white hot, high power stage of product development. I'm guessing a couple of months before the dome is closed. Then once it is closed, there will be further refinements to make, so a few more months of tweaking after that. Then it's off to the races.

Odd that. I guess that they are so confident that it will work that there is no hurry to close the dome and see if it actually produces the sustainable reaction they expect.

In other words, the timeframe promises Mills made were complete ********, and no amount of spin will change that.

Why do you put any faith in a man who you just admitted was making production timeframe promises about a product whose prototype isn't even working properly yet? He was promising to go into production soon but his prototype STILL doesn't work reliably enough for production use.

Even if Mills were right about his "science" it's clear he does NOT have the capacity to be in ANY kind of control of a business. He can't be trusted any further than he can be thrown by hand.

This gives me a nice segue to something I've been meaning to post for some time (not that it's particularly original; in various forms, it's been said dozens of times by others in this thread alone).

I am, personally, very interested in astronomy and astrophysics, and the topic of dark matter in particular. I like to think that I keep up pretty well with what's happening on this topic, by reading the relevant papers (well, arXiv preprints anyway); I pay little attention to popsci pieces, PRs, etc.

As a result, when I read something like what Darat quoted - and what markie has posted on this topic in this thread (etc) - it takes me very little time to realize just how much alike, um, nonsense this is; certainly it has merely coincidental relevance to the ongoing study of dark matter, by astronomers and astrophysicists. Further, I think I could do a pretty job of explaining to the markies of the world why Mills' claims are so, um, ridiculous ... assuming they had the patience and interest to listen.

When it comes to claims in fields I am less familiar with, chemistry, say, or engineering, I can sometimes spot logical flaws, and even bits which seem, well, very shady, but I am not able to show just how woefully awful the claims are (as science) as I can re dark matter.

So a HUGE thank you to Aepervius for this

That nobody of sane mind uses. And if it was predicting MO very well, it would not be able to predict anything for Hydrino combining molecules. Soooooo. Yeah.

ETA: and this thread is funny : https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/details-of-millsian-program.303955/

I like the "bold face lie"

Reading that PhysicsForums thread was pure delight! Made more so by the participation of Brett Holverstott (BH is his ISF handle), one of Mills' biggest boosters. There are so many gems; I'll just take a couple. Starting with this (it's post #10):

Millsian has proposed a fundamental shift in the way atoms and molecules are solved, and has rigorously tested its theoretical predictions of bond energies, distances, angles, and (recently) dipoles against 800 molecules for which experimental data is available. Thousands of predicted values match experiment to a degree of accuracy, and with a simplicity of calculation, unmatched by other methods. We will continue to push forward our technology and its applications for a variety of industries.

Millsian is dedicated to honesty and transparency in reporting. We have an extensive collection of online documents detailing our theoretical calculations in both written and spreadsheet form, see my previous post. I will also see to it that the spreadsheet used in our recent paper appears on the spreadsheets page shortly. I encourage you to investigate this material if you have further questions.

best,
Brett Holverstott Millsian, Inc.

That was in 2009; funny how inorganic chemistry (at least) has yet to be revolutionized by "Millsian", eh? :jaw-dropp

One more, post #15, by ScienceAdvisor alxm:

And that's not what I asked for. I've already explained that Mills' book is incoherent, as far as I can tell, incorrect on many simple matters of fact, mathematically wrong and logically inconsistent. And even looking at you reference I see numbers without proper explanations for how they were derived.

What I asked was for you to provide this simple example right here and now. You're the one who purports to understand this insanity. Although I can't say I see much evidence of that - given that the few 'answers' you do give amount to 'see the book'.

The fact that you've chosen to silently ignore most criticisms speaks volumes though.

You've totally missed the comment about using commercially available cells.... if these are commercially available why is there now a problem with these commercially available cells? Has Mills lost the mail order catalogue?

When ACTUAL Scientists using ACTUAL science set out to do something:

Deaf baby boy hears mom's voice for the first time ever
G7CbzQn.gif

The people behind that moment, the people who did the research in multiple fields to build the tech to let a deaf baby hear have contributed more to the human race than Mills will in his entire lifetime.

Every teacher on the planet who was even moderately competent has contributed more to humanity than Mills will in his entire lifetime.

The Key Grips on the Firefly TV series have contributed more to humanity than mills will in his entire lifetime.

What does Mills get none of them got? Millions of dollars he didn't earn that he pissed away on light bulbs that burn out faster than Edison's original test units.

He forgot that the dome wasn't closed?

But then why does a small hole in the top of the dome, for monitoring purposes, prevent it from producing electricity?

If it's not producing "high power" electricity with the hole in the top of the dome, how do they know it works?

If it does produce some "low power" electricity with the hole in the dome, then why does the hole need to be closed to have an example to show the world?

Hold on, I'm getting dizzy...

A delay? Who could have seen that coming?

I know I'm completely shocked !!

Any one want to bet how many times the send messages 'delaying' the product until they go completely silent? I'll go with three more then the cone of silence.
