Brilliant Light Power Going To Market - Free Energy Generator

Is there any reason to think there's more here than a redox reaction, i.e. simple chemistry?
There is hardly any oxygen at all. The only oxygen comes from a very heat stable oxide compound added to the silver and which sparingly reacts with added hydrogen gas to very briefly form water, a catalyst for hydrino formation.

Sounds like you know this better than me. What exactly is in the reaction chamber? (And, I suppose, how do we know?)

ETA: And, of course, we'd have to exclude atmospheric oxygen...

So far, the reaction chamber is not closed ; it consists of an open (at that top) graphite sphere enclosed in a large transparent glove box, which vents the vapours and the substantial heat out.

At the bottom of the graphite sphere is where two streams of molten silver are injected and intersect, and where the hydrino reaction mostly occurs.

And the solar-panel speculation is laughable: the technical limit for cell is not that high and you'll need a bunch of panels covering a large area (at least tens of square metres) just to manage the so publicized 1,000 Kw generator that is soon to be boxed and shipped if some little last moment investments are made.

The solar cells are not typical solar cells. They are called concentrated photovoltaics (CPV). Such are used in those solar farms where "tens of square metres" of mirrors reflect and concentrate their collected light on a single CPV cell. Not only can they tolerate extremely high intensity light and temperatures, they are also more efficient than regular solar cells at converting light energy to electricity.

Molten silver compounds to make water?:jaw-dropp

Sounds like voodoo to me. Throw around some vague science terminology and hope people ignore the fact you're spouting nonsense and directing the attention away from the distinct lack of evidence.

Silver was chosen because it's a great conductor and because it doesn't have oxidation issues at high temperatures, among other things. The special refractory oxide is simply carried by the molten silver, it's oxygen combines with H2 to form water, the water is ionized upon catalyzing hydrino formation, and the oxide get's its oxygen back.

Clearly you have not looked at the evidence, accumulated over twenty five years of experiments and published work. It's quite compelling.

Oh, the evidence is there alright.
It's just not evidence of a revolutionary new technology that breaks the known laws of physics, as is claimed.
It's evidence of a rather transparent long term scam that hasn't produced anything it has promised for over 25 years.

And yet, you haven't looked at the scientific papers have you. While it is true that there has been no commercial device delivered yet - Mills' optimism gets the better of him - don't conflate that with a lack of scientific evidence for the existence of hydrino.

Lies.
They've been discredited enough in this thread alone. I'm not going to play the game of finding all those sources again only for free energy cronies to ignore them and divert attention with a YouTube video or irrelevant comments on special electrodes or wild claims about power density.
It's all a game, and having people argue with you only provides credibility to the casual reader where there is none.

There are no hydrinos, there is no evidence for hydrinos, hydrinos are a theoretical impossibility in current physics.

And Mills will never produce anything that actually works.

Thermodynamics is a bitch, eh? Why is all that "substantial" energy being vented if the whole idea is to generate energy?

:jaw-dropp And you believed that explanation!

It ultimately will be generating energy for harvesting when the device is complete. But it's not even close to complete. The latest video from several weeks ago shows it running at very low pressure and relatively low energy. The working product is supposed to be running in a closed small graphite dome at vapour pressures of around ten atmospheres and much higher energies. We haven't seen anything like that yet.

Taken in isolation, of course, one should be skeptical of such an explanation, which is really merely a description of an alleged process. But I have the advantage of knowing to some extent the larger context of what Mills has accomplished in theory work and in experimental work over two decades, so it's not much of a leap for me, personally.

I'm more interested in the chemistry. What goes into the reactor and what comes out?

Then perhaps you can answer some of the questions about the safety of a system generating significant quantities of hydrinos, a previously unknown state of matter whose toxicity and nuclear stability has not been investigated, that have been raised earlier in this thread. What effect do hydrinos have on animal tissue or metabolism? Are they more susceptible, as simple electrostatics would strongly suggest, to spontaneous thermonuclear fusion? Do we, in fact, know anything at all about the environmental impact of this new substance that BLP is proposing to create without any precautions?

Molten silver goes in and comes out. Small amounts of an oxide go in and come out. Hydrogen gas goes in and hydrino comes out. High electric current at low voltage goes in, and mostly high energy photons (in the extreme UV) come out, at least until they are absorbed by the silver vapour which reemits as blackbody spectrum.

Mills has taken great lengths to look for nuclear signatures, and found none. He has even used heavy water, with the same negative results. Note that in muon catalyzed fusion, the muon (heavy) is much closer to the nucleus, and shields much more than the electron of a hydrino.

The safety of the end product, hydrino, depends I suppose. Dihydrino gas H2 is extremely stable and inert, moreso than, say, helium. However hydrino hydride, H-, as far as I recall, can combine with metals to form interesting crystalline compounds. But I don't know enough about this aspect to know if it would pose a risk to human safety.
