Tomi Lahren and Trevor Noah

Actually, you can put me down as another who has not been that favourable towards Trevor Noah, but this interview was great. He did a good and useful job here.

He is not as good as Stewart, but he is definitely growing on me. I'm glad I came back to it after the first few episodes.

She missed coming out the gate too. Trevor's very first question was "Why are you so angry?" After smiling like a deer in headlights, she when on to explain that she really wasn't. What she should have said was, "I'm not angry - I'm passionate"

That's a good one.

After thinking it over, my comparison to Ann Coulter might fail on the grounds that Coulter graduated law school - she's probably had some serious training in analytical thinking and rhetoric which little Tomi lacks.

I'd also like to say that, while I find both gals pestilent, I want decent, thought-through arguments from the conservative fringe. In the way that Christian fundamentalists are one of the best pro-atheist things around. We need believers to engage with, to build their structures on sand so we can knock them down.

Bring it, babe.

Lahren is an idiot. She should be in porn. She would be way more productive there.

I loved the shocked look on Trevor Noah's face when she made the comment "What has the KKK ever done"? It took him a little bit to even realize what she had actually said.

To be fair she said, "What did the KKK do?" as a rhetorical question. "What has the KKK ever done?" was what Noah apparently heard, but that's not what she said.

Not that that makes it any better - she's accusing BLM of being the black equivalent of the KKK because she (wrongly) says they target whites and lead to riots. If the KKK historically had acted as BLM really does act, then "What has the KKK ever done?" would be a valid question.

A very small bubble she's in, indeed!

Think this interview exposed how much of an ideologue/idiotic she is. She made a fool of herself if you ask me...

When Noah asked her what she would do by way of protest, she answered that she didn't need to protest, because she wasn't a victim.

I'm not sure how to process that, but there's her privilege she'd deny exists.

My first thought was "But you are protesting, against how others protest, so you must see yourself as a victim of at least such protests".

Or, as in Joseph Heller's Something Happened, "I'm not SHOUTING, I'm being EMPHATIC!"
