Some GOP pushback...in the area of foreign policy has already begun, with several GOP senators warining Trump about getting too buddy buddy with Putin.
Rand Paul says he will filibuster Giuliani of Bolrton as Secretary of State.
I am taking bets as to how lone the Honeymoon will last between Trump and Party Establihsment...which still has a lot of power, don't kid yourself.

Trump told Leslie Stahl that even though he's still not a big fan of the Electoral College. If he were to become the leading spokesperson for its abolition, I would almost consider a Trump presidency worth it. "Only Nixon can go to China." What a lasting legacy that would be. Certainly better than any wallfence.

He can stay mum on the entire thing for the next two years, or even four years, or maybe eight years, but if he were to get that done...

Trump took to Twitter this morning to say the Electoral College is "actually genius" because it "puts the smaller states into play." It's not and it doesn't, but when have facts ever been a problem? He also says that if we did have a popular vote, he would've beaten Clinton by an even bigger margin and more easily. At least four years of this ****.

It does kinda put the smaller states more into play, insofar as they are overrepresented (in terms of population) in the electoral college.

Of course, this is the same man who suggested revolution in 2012 when he mistakenly believed that the popular vote went to Romney. I don't think anyone here, not even his supporters, expect consistency from this president-elect.

Thrilling four years coming up.

Dow closes up 54 points today setting another record high.

And so?

It's clear that the Dow hasn't reacted negatively to Trump's election. We don't need reminders every day, if that's okay with you. The market is growing, and since it set a record the other day, it's likely to again today.

I think the market is hoping that the saner heads in the GOP can talk Trump out of his more insane economic ideas. If they don't,we could see a recession that makes the last one look mild in comparasion.
And agreed that someone reminding us each day that the Stock Market has not collapsed is annoying..so annoying that I am now ignoring the user.
And the remarks abouts how the bond markets are taking a beating is well taken.

It ain't running on coal. I bet it does better than any truck you own. It crushes the F250 4x4 I use to drive. I can park it next to a stream and fish or take it to the ocean and kite board. You would love it.
I think the leftist idea that using a gas guzzling vehicle for pleasure is quite the no no. Couldn't you get where your going with a bike, nap sack, and long beard?
Makes sense. And you can't benefit from net metering. It's tough for solar to be a complete solution because of the way we use electricity and the storage issue. You can only generate electricity during the day, but the heaviest use is in the twilight hours. Sadly the progress to building better batteries has been painstakingly slow.
One piece of equipment I have has 7 motors that uses 125 full load amps, so yeah I need power, three phase too. But solar would bring the bills lower. So I will be doing it eventually.

Friendly reminder:The best way to deal with Trolls is to ignore them. If you argue with them you are giving them just what they want:Attention.

You are arguing that you know the truth despite it being impossible to know, by your own admission. How is it denial to point out that this is an argument from ignorance?

No, I believe my post stated its impossible to know right now, which is why I hope he investigates it.

Rand Paul would actually be a significantly better choice.

What's an intellectual? Why not post, say, several paragraphs of your own writing as a sample?

Sorry, Barbie, done deal that is beyond your ken, doll.

I've never claimed to be one. No I'm not interested in Ken either and you probably shouldn't be playing with Barbie's. ;)
