Trump runs for POTUS/ Trumped Up! Part VII

The court order I couldn't remember yesterday was a "Consent Decree" from 1981 barring the RNC from intimidating "poll watch" shenanigans until Dec. 2017.

The DNC just filed to charge them with violating it thus extending the prohibition a further eight years. They'll need to prove they aren't actually supporting Trump's organized drive for "poll watchers".

That didn't take long. Ruh roh.

And the GOP has countersued. I posted about this in the Trump stormtrooper thread.

Which of these blue states could Donald flip? None, I think.

Not that I think that Hillary will get such a small win.

That's also what the RCP map looked like.... yesterday. Someone must've called down from upstairs so they adjusted the bottom date and reported a poll that no one gives credibility to - Remington Research, which if you check, has 2/3 of the polled showing an age of 50+. Considering that by population 2/3 of the voting age public is under 50, it seems they've doubled the sampling on a population basis. If you just go by voter turnout, 'cuz us old folk vote in higher numbers, it's still only about 50/50.

Great poll. Silver doesn't even list them.

And "Look, Pennsylvania's a tossup!!!" So the RCP average show Hillary below 270 again. Sell those clicks!

ETA: Remington shows Trump getting 25% of the black vote in Pennsylvania. Something tells me they didn't poll Philadelphia.

What we've heard so far from early voting suggests that polls have been biased in favor of Trump on average. I suspect that a significant percentage of the people polled who legitimately intend to vote Trump just can't do it when they're in the booth or the pen is in their hand.

Maine's second district is his best chance and that won't do it because it's only one electoral vote. Last I saw, he had better chance to win that than NC or Florida.
No. Electoral votes are based on the total number of Congressional seats, Senate and H of R. So the minimum number of electoral votes is three.

Maine splits its electoral votes. It has 4 in total. 2 for the state as a whole, one for each district. You can get one if you win just one of the congressional districts. A candidate could get 4, 3, or 1 electoral votes from the state.

Trump has a possibility of winning just one of the districts, but not of getting the whole state. So he could get one electoral vote from Maine, which won't be enough in the given map. It'd still leave Clinton with 272.

Again, the most conservative Clinton win:

Out of that, what do you think Trump is likely to take away from Clinton?

Trump's best chance as far as I can tell is PA. If Clinton takes PA, then it's over.

Maine, along with Nebraska, splits its electoral votes by Congressional district (with the other two going to who wins the state). So it is indeed possible for Donald to get one electoral vote from Maine.

He's the one who is a sexual predator, talks about how hot she is, talks about how he would be dating her if she wasn't his daughter, and said that sex is the thing they have most in common.

What is so unreasonable about suggesting he may have actually banged her?

I don't think it's far-fetched, no.

It is unreasonable because while you have mentioned points concerning Trump's desire to do so, all available evidence indicates that his daughter thinks the whole thing is revolting and disgusting. Her cringing and flinching indicates that she does not share his creepy desires. That's why it is unreasonable.

What makes you think he cares about consent?

That it is pure speculation and largely irrelevant to the election?

It's unnecessary to discuss such seedy speculation. What is the point? In what way is this consistent with skepticism?

How is it better than using a video of Hillary with an odd waggle of the head to speculate that she has a neurological disorder?

Is it possible that Trump has engaged in incest? Sure. Is it plausible? That's a matter of opinion based on fairly indirect evidence. Is it necessary to discuss this in order to show that Trump is unfit? Obviously not.

She is currently supporting his bid for the presidency. She has nothing bad to say about him. I am going to stick with calling it unreasonable speculation until I see better evidence.

There are mountains of evidence indicating that Trump is eminently unqualified to be president. Adding speculation that he is an incestuous rapist to the list does not help in any way and actually hurts the argument that evidence and critical thinking are enough to eliminate him from reasonable consideration.

These are all better reasons than claiming a man that has admitting to committing sexual assault with impunity, had nearly a dozen women come forth to agree with him that he does that and been accused by an ex-wife of rape (she has backtracked to calling it "not criminal rape" whatever that is) cares about consent.

True.
