Wikileaks' October Surprise

Nope, I am chuckling that anyone would take it seriously.

Atom bombs!

The only thing I'm taking seriously is that Russia is trying to influence the US election and that their latest ploy is to claim voting Clinton will lead to a nuclear war. Seems rather desperate to me, but well I guess they are seeing their lap doggy sinking in the polls faster than the Titanic, so they are playing the desperate cards.

As far as I can tell Trump and Sputnik are responsible for the lie.

According to the Eichenwold piece:

As far as I can tell, Sputnik turned it into a bogus news story saying the words came from Blumenthal, when in fact Blumenthal was emailing Eichenwold's piece to Podesta.

Trump then read Eichenwold's words at a rally, attributing them to Blumenthal. If WikiLinks did not make that connection, then Trump fell for the Russians' ploy, or was otherwise manipulated into believing it, or simply decided it was convenient to act like he believed it.

Yesterday he said the U.S. homicide rate was the highest in 45 years. Not even remotely true.

ETA: I don't know what's worse: Trump wildly misrepresenting reality on purpose, or because he really can't tell the difference.

Mostly the embiggened!!!!!

Trump's Nov 28th slip could well be down to neurological damage. We should look out for more signs - heaven forfend someone with brain damage be elected President of the United States, however crappy you might think the place is.
Maybe he'd been discussing the Trump Scamaversity lawsuit and it stuck?

I wonder if they are paying a political penalty for doing it.

Well, they will now. Both of his supporters will stage a massive demonstration at the Ecuadorian embassy in Pietermaritzburg. And I think Trump has pledged to not marry the next Miss Ecuador.

The stuff about the FBI meeting with the State Department and agreeing to "declassify" old messages on classified subjects retroactively just so she could accurately say there was nothing classified was pretty foul...

But an incompetent, corrupt, careless politician is still better than an incompetent, corrupt, mentally ill, orange baboon.

Without making the case for either party on this issue....that wasn't part of wikileaks was it? That was an FBI FOIA request?
