Donald Trump repeatedly called deaf 'Apprentice' Marlee Matlin "retarded"

Donald Trump is human trash. And yes sunmaster14, I really mean than.

What an utter tool.
And I don't say that just because I've always been somewhat hawt for Marlee. :p

Whew... finally caught up on this thread. Interesting news week eh?

eta:
I did just see Rachel's slightly shortened replay of the Donald Beat Down portion of Michelle's speech earlier today...

... my Gawd, she crushed it.

If anyone (Donald ?) wonders how to read a TelePrompTer and interject extemporaneous comments... while using appropriate gestures and posture (still listening Don )... this may not have been a Master Class exhibit... but it surely belongs prominently in the Intro Class.

"Movingly heartfelt and on point" would be a gross understatement. :eye-poppi

I don't see what the big deal is. She couldn't hear him say nasty things about her. I'm sure the next "scandal" is going to be that he made obscene gestures to a blind guy.

I'm glad to see your sense of humor is making it through these troubling times.

From the link:
Sometimes the insults would be behind her back; other times they would be right in front of her.

I'm pretty sure her interpreter would have let her know everything that was going on around her.

Wow! I can't really believe you said that. Other people could hear. It also goes to show how Trump thinks. The level of compassion he has for other people. It's also shows him judging a book by its cover.

Trump proves over and over and over that he is truly a despicable human being.

I step away for less than24 hours and I am nine pages behind?! Geez
Anyway, apologies if this was mentioned earlier.

He just keeps falling back on when he was a somebody. I guess he doesn't realize the foundation can't pick up his legal bills. Wait'll the cheapskate finds that he could be responsible for court costs that he actually has to pay, himself.

I heard one person say that many of Trump's actions, beliefs, and positions can be explained by the theory that Trump's worldview is based on his impressions of the 1970s. Trump was a real player in NYC so he has fond memories of it. The sexism (including the grabbing), the racism, the ethno-centricity, the fear of out-of-control crime, the belief that the police just need to get tougher, etc.

For what it is worth.

This is correct, but only if they are all evidence of the same thing. One shouldn't take evidence of overstepping boundaries as evidence of sexual assault. I can very well imagine someone who is flirtatious, socially awkward and takes advantage of his social status and not deduce a sexual assault.

<snip

One can take as evidence claims of sexual assault when those claims conform exactly to the way the "locker room talk" methods were described.

Those are very much all evidence of the same thing.

Trump Evidence

He'll tell us right after he tells us what his P.I.s in Hawaii dug up on Obama.

Steve S

Jerry Falwell Jr (yes that one) claims the evidence is "emails". He says they are requests for jobs from the accusers. Claims he talked to Donald about it late last night. I have a feeling he is being played.

People are voting. Why is the Orange Menace sitting on this exonerating evidence?

Assuming you're serious, the big deal is Trump's a repugnant, profoundly ignorant piece of garbage who needs to get flattened by a Monty Python 1 ton weight asap, not elected for anything.

I know I wish that there were more policy issues on either side. I know that I think there is too much focus on lurid tales of aggressive sexual advances.

However, I think there's a reason for that. For Donald Trump, Trump himself is policy. His admirers don't admire him because they have listened to what he would do as President, and agree that that's the right way to go. His core supporters admire him because he is Donald Trump. He's a billionaire businessman, and they think a smart, successful, guy is what this country needs.

Among Republicans for whom Donald Trump was not their first choice, or who may have been far down the list of choices, they will vote for him because, whatever else might be true, he is still more likely to pass a tax cut than Hillary Clinton would be, or more likely to appoint a conservative Supreme Court justice than Hillary Clinton would be. However, those people opposed his nomination. For his core supporters, the issue is Trump. He was supposed to be the great leader that would make America great again, through some combination of intelligence or business savvy or just plain fighting spirit that would tolerate no opposition. This guy was going to get things done!

So, Donald Trump himself really is the issue. Much more so than for most candidates, personal attacks make more sense. He has sold himself, not his policies, as the leader that can make America great. To refute that, it is necessary to expose his character flaws.

I approve this message.

Fox will still report it as "debunked" and that's that for a lot of people.

The main thing is that none of this is about winning the election. It's all about winning this stuff now. And there'll be other squirrels along soon enough, depend on it.

What a freakin' shambles. What comes above "Epic"?

The best shambles?

Trump Said to Block Campaign’s Requests to Do Self-Opposition Research

Since all we've seen is locker-room banter and fresh-minted lies, one wonders what he's actually worried about.

Hmmmmm? Very interesting. Recall, now, the first hack of the DNC computer. It was the Opposition Research.

Coincidence? Or was it on Manafort's shopping list to his handlers? (Anyone remember the date that story broke. There's so much clutter about leaks and hacks that I can't locate it.)
