It's interesting how polls show different aspects -and defects- of the Usian political society, and defects of the polls themselves.

Today the situation in all forecasting media is Clinton being about 2-3% above Trump (what I projected in the beginning and continue to forecast) in a national level when third party candidates are forced to vanish. And Clinton has still the clear advantage in the electoral college as she is now most probably to snatch almost all these seven battle states: Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado, Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Nevada. Trump at most can allow himself at most to lose Virginia, Pennsylvania and Michigan or Colorado.

It's interesting how Dornsife USC shows now Trump + 6. But don't be deceived. Fewer participants are sending their weekly poll. Even Trump reached a maximum of 1220 last 11th and dropped last night to 1180 votes. Who has fallen catastrophically is Clinton. A couple of hundreds who supported her are not responding and those who did among them, their real intention of going and vote has dropped.

Let's see how this screwball comedy goes on. I hope a scandal arises around the debate. Let's hear Johnson, Stein and Castle too. Be democratic! (Trump claiming that in order to not participate would be brilliant).

Alec, you are coming off like another Anti Amercian Lefty who hopes that Trump wins because it would justify his hatred and contempt for the US.

I don't disagree, but it's the reality we live in. Hating Clinton's is sport for the right wing. And the Democratic party played right along. No one should be shocked that most Republicans will vote Republican, regardless of the turd running. No one should be shocked that HRC has the negatives she has (deserved or not). The recent screw up owning up to the medical diagnosis simply plays right into the narrative. How *********** stupid were her handlers dealing with it. Should it matter, no, but we're idiots if we ignore it.

Yep, I've been saying this from the start.

However, I wonder how much of it is idiocy and how much is a product of the inherent divisiveness of the electorate. In theory, as stupid as the Dems were in chosing such a controversial figure, the Republicans were even dumber in chosing the disaster that is Trump.

But, how much does the celebrity factor count for, and how much of the outcome is driven by the media's desire for a close race (which drives ratings up...)? In theory, a sane Republican could have crushed HRC, and likewise, a non-controversial Democrat would have crushed Trump. But, in reality, we are dealing with an electorate that is irrational. It is thriving on the division the same way any thread on the ISF will go on for ages so long as there is a side to join. Controversy gets people excited, and interested.

If that factor is considered, then its not as forgone a conclusion that anyone other than Hillary would have beat Trump. Perhaps people really want to go down the road to destruction, simply because it makes their boring lives more interesting.

She's only controversial because the republicans made her that way. And like everything else about republicans, it's a fabrication. Clinton is far and away the most qualified candidate the US has seen in quite some time.

You, and only you, keep insisting on that.

Anti Amercian, as you say, it could be, as I don't get along well with mersas (extremely vulgar people of any nationality who blatantly manifest their primitivism).

Well, not quite. I would partly agree that the controversy is Republican-created, but as DavidJames pointed out, that really doesn't matter--controversy is controversy. Secondly, anyone who thinks the very long list of things the Republicans have focused on, culminating in the email fiasco that even she concedes was a mistake, are completely beyond her control is being naïve. 'Qualifications' have nothing whatsoever to do with competence, which is what the Republican's have witch-hunted her on.

A blogpost about why one doctor is somewhat unconvinced by Trump's Doctor's letter saying that the dude is in most excellent health and utterly bodacious.

The comments and ETA are most interesting

I like Jen Gunter.

My favorite part is the bit about "only positive results" for tests. I just had a bunch of testing done. Glad to say that MOST of them came back negative, although one came back positive. And that's not a good thing.

So what were all those tests that Trump had done that gave only positive results?

HIV or other STD? TB? Pregnancy?

Only positive results, dude!

Not only that. But the results were YUGE!

More recent polls on battle states:

Michigan: Clinton 38%, Trump 35% / Clinton 42%, Trump 38%
Georgia: Trump 46%, Clinton 42%

Just curious, but where are you getting polling info from?
I have no issue with them, just wonder.
Can you provide links for each, when you post them? If they are not always the same source.

Thanks in advance,
DT.

And what the changes are from the last time too, please...
