Why Trump ?

I'm saying that this false claim about white supremacy is just another dog whistle. It's demagoguery, fear mongering and division 101. It's par for the course for most democrats. ;)

Nice try but it won't work.

My party is not calling Mexicans rapists and desperately trying to make everyone afraid of every immigrant. My party's candidate didn't try to suggest that the first African American president was illegitimate. My party doesn't try and disenfranchise and prevent blacks from voting. My party acknowledges that their are inequities that still need addressing. One minute of looking at party delegates at the National party conventions shows which party works hard to include those of other races and which one demonizes people of color.

Hillary Clinton is not supported by David Duke and Alex Jones but they are thrilled about Donald Trump.

It's more than a good try, it is exposing where your reality is. ;)

Don't you think it's pathetic you have to come up with a politician who is (a) dead and (b) has recanted those views? You seem to also have missed the 60s, LBJ's Civil Rights Acts, and the subsequent exodus of the racists from the Democratic Party

Funny you should mention LBJ. Do you know how he felt about African Americans?

So, no evidence that many Muslims support sharia? No evidence even that the Orlando shooter's father does? All made up, I presume.
This should be fun reading for you.

I don't know what you think that means. I'm one of 8 children and one of my brothers was a white supremacist who went to prison for assaulting two police officers. I have another brother who went to prison for sexual assault. But I also have one brother who was a fulbright scholar and a sister who graduated from MIT. Does this mean my father was an accomplished scholar or a convict? The answer is he was neither.

Your argument is pure guilt by association. It's sad, it's desperate and it's nonsense.

I want to understand your position better. What precisely do you mean by lax security? What is your description of strong security?
Acknowledging the actual parties responsible for the recent year's terrorist attacks, the correlating ideology/religions and acting accordingly with policy.

I don't think the GOP would appreciate people knowing of their hamstringing of funds for security and wasting time/money on Benghazi hearings instead of helping make the USA a safer place.

Who are the actual parties responsible?

C'mon now. We know who's responsible for most of the terrorist attacks in the US - it's been white extremists on the right. And when they tried to deal with them back in 2009, these same people screaming at Trump rallies threw a fit. You're only helping my case.

I see... so Fort Hood was "workplace violence"... the Orlando nightclub shooting was a "right-wing fanatic"... the attacks in Paris were just some normal nutjobs... etc. Hmmm... right. We will sweep that under the rug and change the subject to gun control

No, my argument is LBJ didn't have very nice things to say about African Americans.

Sorry about your history.
I suppose that's why you're so quick to call others a racist.

Stunning!!!

Clinton did go out into a public speech and call a large chunk of the Republican electorate that she's trying to sway to her side a basket full of deplorables. I will go ahead and say that it's pointless to deny that there are a fair share of deplorables in the Republican Party that are racist and bigoted... on the other hand, you have the PC police on the left that will look for any controversial comment made by anyone to tear them down. That's pretty much the choice that we have this election season. While i don't have a problem with criticizing the party based on the bigoted folks that make themselves heard I think it's pretty stupid to want to sway people to vote for someone by calling them all bigoted and deplorable with prejudice. Romney got skewered for making his 47% comment at a private event by the PC police... where are they now? Can we expect the PC police to be outraged at a politician that just alienated half of the electorate with an ad hominem at a public event?

Meh. The only ones she's offended are deplorable themselves. I find it strange that they are upset she wasn't being politically correct about them.

She's just telling it like it is! I find it hilarious that those same people are now cowering in the corner now that it's them on the receiving end.

I can only respect those Trump supporters who will save money according to his tax plan.
The rest just don't care what he actually says, only what it feels like to them.

Hm. That's odd, I thought you said that they wanted to talk about "terrorism". Perhaps you meant that they want to talk about how evil Muslims are instead?

Just kidding, I know full well that you meant "muslim-bashing" when you said "terrorism", I just wanted you to clarify that.

Can you clarify? Sorry but I suck at jokes and hate being snarky at people for the wrong reasons. I edited my original response accordingly in this post.

I'd say a fair number of his supporters are too stupid to know what it is they really like. They just see someone as moronic as them and feel that hey, if he can do it, so can I!

It's pretty simple. I'm pointing out that Trump's supporters do not want to hear anything about right-wing terrorism. In fact, when the federal government issued a report on right-wing terrorism back in 2009, they were enraged by it. And since then, we have seen a number of right-wing terror attacks, whether shootings, arson, or bombings, at politics offices, the Holocaust Memorial, abortion clinics, Planned Parenthood offices, the Emmanuel A.M.E. Church, and so forth. Not to mention the Bundy Ranch and Oregon standoffs.

They do not want to discuss those - or if they do, only to applaud them. Instead, they want to hear about how awful the Muslims are, based on the actions of Islamic Extremists.
