"Half of..." Trump's supporters represents about 15% of the country, at most. She's already pissed those people off. The other "half of..." Trump's supporters, e.g. people who support Trump, is another 15%.... ("half" connoting 50%, and all). I believe they're also already pissed off.... that would be one of the things that define Trump Supporters.... "pissed off".

OMG, she just alienated the entire demographic that wasn't going to vote for her!!! She's done.
True that. White rich folks were much more mobile in the Romney/Obama race.

Did you watch the CNN "The Essential Trump". I was only able to watch the first half. Here was a young man who did things that others said could not be done. A brilliant restoration of a building in Manhattan. He negotiated deals and financing and got it done.

He expanded too fast, too much debt, and nearly lost all. But he was able to franchise his name rather than build. He made much more money that way. He learned to take on partners on his terms. If a venture of his does not do well, he moves on. And gets better at deciding what will work and why.

The best test of his business acumen is that he eliminated a bunch of Republican hopefuls without massive amounts of money to do it. That means he has political acumen as well. It was not a fluke.

His worth is estimated by others as at least $3.5 billion. Since his name is his brand, he has learned to guard it against any and all attacks. He has settled lawsuits when he cannot win them, although he will not promote the idea that one can settle.

Instead of taking his kids to the park or the ball game, he worked. They nevertheless think he is the greatest.

As for bankruptcy and people getting cents on the dollar, that is a risk business people take. If you give credit to get the business, then you should factor the invoices if you cannot afford a default.

Instead of baling out big business, the US government should have bailed out home-owners by giving them money to pay their home bonds. After all it was government who promoted the business of risky loans. So much for screwing the average worker.

Nothing in your post disproves my point. I said that Trump fights every battle, I didn't say that Trump loses every battle. Yes. He has made billions selling his name. I never said he didn't. My point was that he is not wise because he doesn't know which battles to not fight. The proof is that he is so easy to bait.

Diversion from what? LOL!

The point that whilst Clinton is a less impressive candidate than Obama, and has had some dodgy dealings, she is far less corrupt and generally dishonest than Trump.

While we are talking about lawsuits, let's talk about the Bill Maher lawsuit. To make fun of Trump's inability to drop the Obama/Kenya accusations, Maher said on his TV show that if Trump could prove he was not the off-spring of his mother and an orangutan, the Maher would donate $5 million to the charity if Trump's choice. Trump sued. He didn't launch a defamation suit, he launched a suit demanding Maher pay the $5 million to a charity because Trump had a valid birth certificate. While Trump eventually dropped the suit, this lawsuit is another piece of evidence that he does not pick his battles wisely.

Instead of taking his kids to the park or the ball game, he worked. They nevertheless think he is the greatest.

First, they are some of the only New Yorkers who think that. The number of developers, contractors, and sub-contractors who will work with him is quite small.

Second, why is it that so very many of Trump's statements have to be translated or otherwise explained? He has campaign staff whose only job appears to be to go on TV the day after Trump speeches and rallies explaining what he meant.

Third, are you even listening to yourself?! You just said that a billionaire not being able to spend time with his children while they were growing up is a sacrifice on the same level as parents of military servicemen who die while fighting in a foreign war.

To be fair that is better than Donald's statement of what he sacrificed compared to the Khan's. Donald said, "I think I've made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I've created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I've had tremendous success. I think I've done a lot." That only makes sense if you redefine what sacrifice means.

I assumed that Part Skeptic was referring to that particular line when he said that Trump couldn't spend time with his kids.

Same.

I dunno whether something has been put in the water, or maybe all the chemtrails, but western society seems to have lost its rudder over the past decade.

Guys like Corbyn do the alternative so much good by being too busy to spend 5 minutes at the Holocaust Museum, while New Zealand's own [long pre-dating] Donald Trump is on the rise after 20 years in the wilderness.

I've thrown the towel in - bring 'em on; what's the worst that could happen?

I guess that's progress. Hitler only spent 5 years in the wilderness (1923-1928).

Quick one.

Hillary has pneumonia???

Diagnosed Friday, but collapses on Sunday???

She is a lawyer. Backdating documents, or making provision to cover up any sign of ill-health, are legal maneuvers most lawyers would think of.

Anyone else would put their health first and throw in the towel. Like a boxer who does not know when to quit, such persistence might be fatal, or worse.

I do not know whether to admire her, or feel sorry for her. Karma?

I feel like I am in one of those national news programs. Someone mentions a problem with Trump and the response is Clinton, Clinton, Clinton.

Your point is ... what?

She is a lawyer. Backdating documents, or making provision to cover up any sign of ill-health, are legal maneuvers most lawyers would think of.
Your argument is that she's not good enough at covering things up?

Anyone else would put their health first and throw in the towel.
False dilemma.

Like a boxer who does not know when to quit, such persistence might be fatal, or worse.
Worse than fatal? Like what?

That's all they've got. If no one can say anything good about Trump, that's all the GOP is left with. And if health becomes the key issue, we might as well argue about who will make a better president, Pence or Kaine?

Let's say that Trump is going a bit down now. However the list of battle states grows (from Trump prone to Clinton prone):

Utah-Texas-Georgia-North Carolina-Nevada-Iowa-Arizona-Missouri-Florida-Congressional District 2 of Maine-Wisconsin-Ohio-New Hampshire-Pennsylvania-Virginia

Latest polls on battle states:

Florida: Clinton 47%, Trump 47% /Clinton 44%, Trump 42%
Pennsylvania: Clinton 48%, Trump 43%
North Carolina: Clinton 47%, Trump 44%
New Hampshire: Clinton 42%, Trump 41%
Nevada: Clinton 45%, Trump 44%
Georgia: Trump 46%, Clinton 43%
Arizona: Trump 42%, Clinton 41%
Iowa: Trump 40%, Clinton 39%
Ohio: Clinton 46%, Trump 39%

Why not both? I'd even be okay them them deciding ticket order by Rock Paper Scissors.

How strange it is when Trump suddenly without warning cancels planned events, disappears even off social media for days there isn't a hue and cry that he must be having his dementia treated?

I can't imagine the treatments he is enduring after his doctor said all of his test came back positive. That's called Three Stooges Syndrome:

To the head?

Actually yes. Broke my nose and my cheekbone. At school my face all swollen and turned purple, yellow and blur.

It was obvious that I could take a punch, and I told them that I would kill the next guy that hit me. They backed off.

Unlike Hillary I had no brain damage!
