I think "love the Lord" must be a euphemism.

Yes he never said sometime but it is clear to Christians that no one can obey 100% of the time. It is the exact reason why we need forgiveness.

Yes, it can be tricky going in these parts, and some of the locals think that sheer weight of numbers will topple your wagon. But I've long been in the habit of identifying those whose lives are so empty that their only joy is in trolling (poor creatures) and skipping past their posts, so I don't actually read very much of what's on the thread. Your little guilt trips aren't going to affect me Art, If you choose to reject the living God, its not my problem. Besides we're not dealing with normal people on here, most are very hostile and I'm not sure God himself could open their eyes, that sir is the most horrible place a human being could be.

Plenty of people preaching the good news in 3rd world countries. The problem with skeptics is you want God to do it your way, he won't. Keep knocking and the door will be opened.

The problem with skeptics is you knock, then run off. I spent 6 long years chasing him and I wasn't about to give up. Now I'm blessed beyond anything I could imagine and that doesn't involve things of the world, well, maybe a few things. :)

Then I began studying anthropology and, like reading UFO books, realized the different creation and divine existence stories are contradictory and mutually incompatible.

To answer the op question, when I believed a God of some form existed I attempted communication but it was unproductive and led me to conclude I was talking not to God but myself.

I watched a puppy vomit himself to death on my kitchen floor from parvovirus. It was a painful, horrible death. I so wanted a god to be mad at. What kind of excretory orifice God must be to create parvovirus, a disease that kills gentle, loving innocent creatures without mercy or remorse.

Everything you've said just boils down to what you want, that's why you don't have a relationship with God. Its an ongoing theme with skeptics, God doesn't do it my way or give me what I want, therefor he must not be real.



When you skeptics ever get over yourselves and yearn for the heart of God, then your lives will come alive.
