What's your argument here? Are you saying it is not dishonest? I suppose it could be willfully ignorant. But it's demonstrably false by listening to a minute of the speech before those quoted words.

What were you aiming to accomplish through this confrontation?

I wanted an apology from Hillary Clinton to black people, and I wanted her to acknowledge that the policies that she supported directly impacted folks of color in the United States in terms of mass incarceration.

And were you satisfied with her response?

No, I think that her response reflected Clinton’s inconsistency. But we know that she’s been inconsistent on these issues, and we know that according to her these are not issues that she’s interested in. She’s campaigning around this state right now, trying to get the black vote, and she’s going around saying, “It’s time to listen.” So she had an opportunity to listen last night, and she wasn’t listening.

And you still haven't answered the actual question: if she wasn't talking about black people in general, why bring up that quote as if it means that she's a racist?

Whenever you're done playing up the drama, that is.

This thread is now 85 pages long and about the only thing that has been established about Hillary Clinton is the bona fides of the few people that really hate Hillary Clinton.

I don't see how anything you posted addresses my argument in any way.

Was the claim that I cited incorrect? Yes, it was, you have posted nothing to the contrary. Was the evidence that the claim is incorrect readily available? Yes, less than a minute before the quoted part of the speech.

Ashley Williams stated something incorrect while the correct information was abundantly available. Either she didn't watch the context of the quote or she ignored it.

Nothing you say affects that.

The claim has nothing to do with what other black people think of her, it has no relevance to my statement.

I love Bernie and there's nothing I would love more than for him to win.... but Hillary Cllinton is dishonest and has the money. And those two things alone, sadly, make her the best contender against the Republicans. Not to mention she is closer to them on a lot of her policies. Thus, she as way more ability to "meet half way" with the Republicans than Bernie. So I don't see that happening.

But a man can dream, can't he?

Hey, I'm a Hillary hater and I don't think what she said was racist in context. Kinda weird, but not racist. Did people complain back when she said it?
