One of the funniest things in all this is how Vixen's intuitive "BS meter" goes on high alert when the Supreme Court finds Amanda and Raf innocent, consistent with all the available evidence. Yet apparently it was quiet as a mouse when she read about the Satanic ritual pagan orgy on Halloween that just "got out of hand" between 3 students and a burglar who no one knew.

Something tells me that someone's "intuition" may need a re-calibration.

A total overhaul more like it. I really baffles me how it doesn't phase Vixen that this premeditation has to be totally clairvoyant. Everyone has other plans but somehow a murder is planned without a single call or text!

At, 8:20 Amanda is supposed to be going to work, Raffaele is going to be helping his neighbor, Meredith is at a dinner party and nobody knows when she'll be home and how does Rudy get involved?

Seems like bs to me.

Nobody in Italy mentioned a satanic ritual. That is a Nina Burleigh/Doug Preston meme. US press is dreadful rubbish if that's the BS they've been feeding you.

Clue: do you have a citation where police or the prosecutor (or even the courts) even mention a 'satanic ritual'?

Please try to get the facts right.

You really think a sociopath criminal goes to ask anybody for permission before committing their crime. Really?

I thought you said it was planned? You think that comment addresses the absurdity of your theory? Seriously ?

No, they described it as a ritual murder surrounding the Halloween holiday. Total ***** nonsense.

It's Rudy's presence that's the problem. Most low-info people (who can tell Amanda's guilty by her evil eyes) don't even know he exists. If they do know they assume he was a well established chum of Amanda's. But his only connection with Amanda is of physical proximity, he occupied the same space as her for several moments because he was loosely acquainted with someone who lived in another unit at the residence.

So he in no way could be involved in an intricate murder plot. It simply doesn't work, and is why no court ever proposed such an idea. You can't have Amanda spontaneously running into a virtual stranger she can't even communicate with an adding him to a carefully plotted murder scheme.

The official culpable series of events tries to stay within the boundaries of reality. Amanda happens to run into Rudy and invites him along as a loose acquaintance for a potential social gathering, or he just said he wanted to walk to the cottage with them to see if his friend was home, or whatever. And once they all get there "things get out of hand" and Meredith ends up dead. Of course this scenario doesn't work with the kitchen knife, and since the kitchen knife is the entire case, going with this scenario is essentially admitting reasonable doubt out the starting gate. The Italians, lacking any sense of logic or judicial restraint, tried to get around this by saying Amanda carries a gigantic comically sized kitchen knife around with her at all times for no reason, but this was never going to withstand any real scrutiny.

You of course have nailed exactly why it is impossible to prove Amanda's involvement. The ONLY piece of physical evidence theoretically connecting her to the crime is Stefanoni supposedly finding Amanda's DNA on the handle and Meredith's DNA on the blade of that Kitchen knife That's why as much as I hate Mignini, I hate Stefanoni 100 times more. It's clear by her actions that she is up to no good.

That ridiculous kitchen knife that doesn't match the wounds or the bloody stain on the sheet. Who's use essentially requires the murder to be an act of premeditation. A premeditation that doesn't fit any of the other facts.

This is what happens to every guilt theory. They try and make it fit to one piece of evidence only to find that now it doesn't fit elsewhere. Like Curatolo, if you use him to say that Amanda and Raffaele were at the Piazza Grimana you have to deal with the fact that old Toto provides them with an alibi. You have to dismiss that Quintavalle's testimony is not only disputed his own words to the police after the murder but his own employees.

Vixen's mind is closed to any rational thinking so even 20 years from now, she'll be insisting that Amanda killed Meredith..

At no time was it ever described thus. IIRC it was Doug Preston who tried to transpose the Monster of Florence affair, which did involve dodgy masons and satanic sex rings.

Just because Mignini considered the aforesaid theory regarding MOF it doesn't follow that it's his world view that the world is run by lizards.

There was a link to Halloween as restless Amanda was left kicking her heels dressed as a cat and nowhere to go, roaming the streets for hours, whilst Mez and her British friends were out having the time of their lives and Raff was at home swotting up up for his finals.

It being All Souls in Italy, a public holiday, all the flat mates were with family or friends as per tradition, remembering departed loved ones.

My son (co-author) recently published his first two peer-reviewed papers, so once again you have made an ASS out of U and ME.

Let me guess, "published" in arXiv or something similar that actually does not have a formal peer review process and papers are just submitted electronically?

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about with the peer review process when it comes to the (vast, vast) majority of rigorous scientific journals. They are peer reviewed BEFORE publication, and are accepted or rejected based on quality and content. Scientific publication is far more rigorous than "wellllll, it's all a matter of opinion and personal interpretation on these forensic science thingies. I believe the prosecution lab tech over empirical forensic science papers published in top journals any ol' day!"

Premeditation can take literally nanoseconds.

My God. Have you EVER said anything right? Ever?

Premeditation means rational consideration of the method, etc. i.e. Consideration of the consequences and trying to find the best way to succeed and/or "get away with it". It doesn't mean "oh hey I have a knife in my hand let's kill this girl with this burglar I don't know for no reason at all STABBY STABBY"

Hey Vixen,
Here is a news article by John Follain, a prominent guilter loonie, printed back in 2009. Care to comment?

NEW details about a sex game that allegedly led to the murder of Meredith Kercher, the British exchange student, have been revealed by an Italian prosecutor.

Giuliano Mignini, the official leading the case, alleges that Amanda Knox, Kercher's American housemate, instigated the "erotic game" and probably persuaded an accomplice into "softening up" the 21-year-old Briton.

See? Not even published in America. With their evil lizard people PR campaigns.

Did you ever think about accepting reality for what it is? It makes things a lot easier in the long run, even if the cognitive dissonance is painful at first.

How was the murder characterized early on?

It was planned and premeditated, no matter how loosely. Premeditation can take literally nanoseconds. There is nothing that says premeditation has to be decided days in advance.

By this definition all acts are premeditated.

Really? That's what Filomena was doing? Was Laura from Rome?

Btw, not everyone spends time and money on costumes. I'm sure if Meredith had not gone to a party and Amanda did, we'd be hearing about how studious Meredith was and how Amanda was nothing but a party girl escaping reality, once again, in a silly outfit and drunk as a skunk.

No, it is your posts that make an ass out of you. You're the one who suggested that peer review happens after an article is published. You can hardly blame me for your ignorance.

Exactly. Having a furious row with a room mate doesn't lead to murder, unless the assailants have armed themselves in advance (=premeditation). Raff was armed up to the gills with lethal fetish-style knives, some costing >€250-. His public myspace fantasy was to have 'extreme experiences', he had a heavy drug problem, liked to pose as a mad-scientist-butcher wielding a meat cleaver. He was so irresponsible, his father had to ring him several times a day to monitor him (a grown man of 23, three years older than Rudy and Amanda).

Amanda went to Italy to, by her own account, get lots of sexual experience, and was there to party. Mez was everything she was not. Classy, more attractive, better educated, nicer, cleaner and far more popular. The only people on Amanda's speed dial were the various men she slept with. The void she wanted to escape when she fled Seattle to have fun was still there, a gaping hole in her damaged psyche.

So, rich boyfriend with own flat, cleaning lady and latest Audi, shares his violent sex manga fantasies, which coincide with her own (cf: school essays about violent rape/murder), Amanda is desperate to please him. She bends his ear about Mez and how much she is screwed up with jealousy and hatred for her, because Mez shook a great mojito and Patrick wanted to hire her instead and had a great social life, was part of an accredited ERASMUS course, hooked up with Giacomo, which Amanda resented, believing she had first rights to him ("You can have him") not to mention revelling in her German "Nazi within" and with Mez being Anglo-Indian, had an underlying racist resentment as well. She referred to her boss as 'an African ragazzo' and had no hesitation in putting his name forward to the police as the rapist/murderer of Mez. Like many sociopaths, Amanda has delusions of grandeur. A grifter with the fast talk, a con merchant with instinctive acting skills, having become aware normal people act differently from herself and learning how to mimic normal behaviour. Hence all the theatrics in court and outside the court after verdicts of acquittal, mimicing an Oscar winning actress with her hands clasped in fake gratitude.

Like everybody else Amanda met, Rudy was just there to be used and abused. Even Raff was cuckolded in their five-day affair. Rudy claims Amanda flirted with him downstairs with the boys, certainly, he was around the cottage like a salivating dog, and he told Franca he was there more for Amanda than Mez. Kokomani testified the three were together getting off their heads on skank weed, wielding a kitchen knife and offering him €250- to hire his car.

A sociopath doesn't form close relations with people so there is no prerequisite for her to have any deep relationship with either Rudy or Raff, or indeed even the murder victim. It was no problem for Bonnie and Clyde to shoot dead random policemen in their way. They were just cardboard cutouts to these people, not people with homes and family.

You need to grasp that psychopaths are not normal so it is useless to use 'normal' as a term of reference.
