Until the world is perfect for women everywhere no women has a right to complain?

I think you missed the bit about "proportionality". It's not about complaining, it's about complaining about the right things, and keeping things in perspective. Getting hit on in an elevator is not an example of "rape culture", it's just tacky and slightly creepy. Publicly beating rape victims for being victims of rape is "rape culture".

As to Skepticon in particular, well that's a strange beast. They are making a deliberate effort to bring in speakers we've never seen before this year. Hope to see you there, Scrut. ;)

The speaker list seems especially dismal this year. They're obviously going for the SJW crowd. The problem they will eventually discover is that crowd, unlike the white males they despise, has no money. So even a $79 room at the Holiday Inn is a stretch.

Plus, the new location sucks, which is a big part of why I didn't go last year. The old location(s) were downtown, so when JT or Greta spoke, you could walk a block down and get a beer. Where are you supposed to go now? Applebee's?

Unless there are public beatings of victims there is no rape culture, or do you have a more nuanced view that is not evident in your post?

Applying your standards a person being shot shouldn't complain since others are being burnt to death nor could anyone ever complain about injustice because a greater one was being done.

Not worth arguing with someone who can't tell the difference between being hit on and misogyny.

Sorry, this false-dichotomy troll thing has been done to death. Don't you have any new material?

Proportionality hits the nail on the head. When one is a privileged, childish narcissist to whom anything annoying that happens is 'the worst thing ever', one cannot see the proportionality of one's complaints to actual harms others suffer.

I don't think the character of the victim determines the justice of their complaint.

I see, only properly approved people are qualified to complain. Those who don't meet your standard have to just suck it up.
Obviously, you don't see. Perhaps it would help if you looked up words like "childish", " privileged ", and " narcissistic ". Apply those to the claims of "worst thing ever". Compare actual complaints. Then, you may see how your false dichotomy fails.

No need to look them up I can just read your posts.

It's especially sad, given the following he once had.

Which is why I've come to the conclusion that everything that happened was a push for more influence that backfired horribly. And now all Myers has left is a bunch of people he's finally come to understand are toxic, but if he drives them away then he's got nothing.

Yep. I think he hitched his horse to the wrong wagon. Now his speaking engagements have all but disappeared.

Now if someone is made to feel physically uncomfortable by the actions
of someone else and that person knows that then they must stop doing
it immediately. This could apply to any situation. As it is not confined to
any thing particular. Someones emotional response to an uncomfortable
situation is not for others to decide upon. Since they are projecting their
own subjective interpretation onto it. We all have boundaries but a good
rule of thumb is that no one can touch you without getting permission to

How do you get your responses to fit into a perfect square?

While I am glad that you have such confidence in your ability to understand words without looking them up, sadly, the obvious way you have botched the definition of "misogyny"doesn't fill me with such hope. Please, to be using a dictionary?
