Presidential Primaries 2016

Actually Reagan didn't dye his hair. Numerous observers have remarked that he had silver hairs mixed in with the dark. But the vast majority of his follicles retained their pigmentation. He was just lucky in that regard. I have a grandmother who is similarly gifted.

I also don't think that the presidency ages people particularly rapidly, anymore so than a lot of stressful jobs. It's just that presidents tend to enter office at a stage in life where there are bound to be rapid changes in appearance due to aging, and they are in the public eye so much that we all get to see the aging process. There is very little evidence that stress increases the rate at which graying of the hair occurs.

Only their hairdressers know for sure...

Only their hairdressers know for sure...

Yeah, and actually there is conflicting information about that, so I'm going to have to retract the tone of certainty in my previous post. I have read compelling statements from people insisting that he didn't dye his hair, and that it was interspersed with silver, but then there are contrary assertions, like this statement in 2002 from the Los Angeles Times:

But author Kitty Kelley scooped the world and revealed in her unauthorized biography about Nancy Reagan more than 10 years ago that the president's gray roots were dyed regularly--in secret, of course, and by Nancy's hairdresser, Julius--since 1968. When Reagan's head was shaved for surgery after he left the White House, his hair grew back gray. Still, his handlers denied that he had previously colored it.

So, it's anybody's guess. I have known a few men who retained hair as dark as Reagan's into old age, without hair dye, so it's not outside the realm of possibility. One thing is certain: he had absolutely no hairline recession whatsoever, retaining a juvenile hairline pattern to the very end, without even a hint of the mature hairline most males develop (a straight hairline with temple points) even in the absence of any balding.

At least we know about Hillary: She's been coloring her hair for years.

As a Follicularly Challenged American, I'd like to have the option of voting for someone who looks like Eisenhower.

I personally, wasn't taking about the hair color as much as the face in general.

As for other jobs, I am still going to maintain president is a far more stressful than the vast, vast majority of U.S. Jobs. Who else has a staff of over a hundred people to handle the daily death threats? Who else is mercilessly attacked by the media on a daily basis?

No, what you're missing is the GRACE that Christ brought, the law still stands.

Is Yeshua ben Yusuf of Nazareth part of the executive branch or judicial?

Oh, I know! Legislative! He's on "leave" still. Pity he missed so many votes this term.

He's like Cheney once danced around about. He's part of neither or he's part of both. Or, really, he's a branch all unto himself.

The Bible is the real law of the land, not the Constitution. Well, the parts that conservatives like at least. That part where Jesus is a raging commie? Doesn't count. Because reasons.

A group of Ben Carson supporters used CafePress to create t-shirts that support his campaign, with "Ben Carson for President 2016" and other phrases.

How did he respond? He sent his lawyer to demand that all such items be removed for “trademark infringement, copyright infringement, misappropriation of name and likeness, privacy rights infringement.” The lawyer also claimed that “The aforementioned action is a violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, The Lanham Act, Federal Trademark Infringement, Federal Copyright Infringement, state misappropriation and privacy laws.”

"How dare you support me. I'll sue."

He's not actually running for President. He's just securing his income stream and can't have his brand diluted.

According to the news, Scott Walker is dropping out ....

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is set to drop out of the presidential race Monday night, a source close to the campaign confirms to NBC News.

He is scheduled to hold a press conference in Madison, Wisconsin, at 6pm ET to announce his exit from the race.

Farewell Scott Walker, we hardly knew ye ...
Dashing our hopes for a wall to keep them pesky Canadians out!

Kerplunk! S. Walker, union-busting superstar, has seen his star outshone to invisibility (<1/2%) in the bright light of D. Trump.

The icing on teh caek is that the now former candidate claims he was called by a higher power to be a leader of evacuees, calling on other GOP'ers to flop out of the race to thin the field for better challengers to current leader. Gee.. Where will his wealth of remaining support migrate?

This can't be helpful (sorry if it was already posted):
Jeb Bush's rush through the revolving door - Firms that boosted his net worth after leaving office helped his record campaign fundraising.
Jeb Bush stood before supporters in Tallahassee, the Florida capital over which he presided for eight years, and vowed in his first policy speech as a presidential candidate last June to halt the “revolving door” between Congress and K Street.
“We need a president willing to challenge the whole culture in our nation’s capital — and I mean to do it,” Bush vowed at that June event.
But the promise was undercut both by the audience to which Bush spoke — which included numerous lobbyists from his days as governor — and by the intensity with which Bush replenished his personal bank accounts upon leaving office by cashing in on the connections he had made. When it came to Florida, at least, he wasn’t the man who stopped the revolving door — he was a beneficiary.

Walker's suspending the campaign speech (paraphrasing):

Everyone who isn't doing well should quit the race to clear the field for the best contenders to beat Trump to have a better chance!

This frees up a whole lot of money. I haven't seen any tracking of the major candidates heading up the mountain to pray(prey?) at the Koch aerie. Anyone got any inside dope on where those billions are going to be heading?
