And if they have skyrocketed because of the restrictions in Obamacare how will making it fully 100% government funded even work?
The same way it works in all of the other places that have it?
I find myself listening to conservative talk radio, and as long as they are talking basic principles, I find myself in agreement. However, when they get down to policies and the general impression of what they say, I find myself saying, "What??????"
One of the principle reasons is statements like yours. There's no reasonable, measured, analysis or consideration. There is "It won't work!" There are claims that the economy will be destroyed. The social fabric of the country wil crumble. Yada, yada, yada.
Of course Obamacare made things more expensive. You don't get something for nothing. However, it didn't destroy the health care system. It isn't solely responsible for cost increases, which have been staggering for years now. Also, and most importantly, we really did get something for our money. Things are better now. More people can get health care than could before, without bankruptcy, and that's a good thing.
So, when I look at the tradeoffs, what I see is a plan that isn't the best, but it could be a whole lot worse. Meanwhile, from your side, I see, "The sky is falling and it's Obama's fault!" So when election day rolls around, I end up going with the people who at least are willing to do something, even if it's not exactly what I would do, and even if I know that it isn't going to be what they promise.
