Clinton Crime Family Foundation

For all those above, you're posts show the kind of character you have.

They created a charitable foundation to enrich themselves, does that not offend you immoral leftists?

Can you avoid personalizing your comments? In case you don't know what that means, the Clintons and their foundations are fair game for personal attacks. Forum members aren't.

The charity  gives about 15% in actual grants. Their answer is their staff is directly paid to handle the lavish giving  with hefty salaries of course.

This is an example of a fair criticism that advances the discussion. Googling around, I find there is a form of philanthropy that doesn't follow common perceptions of "charitable giving." Instead, Bill Clinton leverages his influence to get things done, such as organizing various jurisdictions in Africa to combine forces and get a bulk discount for purchases of anti-AIDS drugs.

It's easy to see there are potential problems with this approach, one of them being that contributing to a charity run by a politically active family may potentially buy access to key members of the Clinton family.

That's the level of debate I treasure in this forum. To see it all reduced to character assassination - well, there are so many places on the Web where I can get that. I continue to insist that this forum is different - that ad-hom attacks against other members are discouraged, forcing participants to refrain from them, and avoiding the downward spiral of "you're an idiot, no, you're an idiot" level of discourse.

I haven't done a definitive analysis, so take this for what it is: My perception is that political conservatives are more likely to turn personally nasty than liberals are. Not that liberals always avoid polemics, screeds and screeching, but that personalization amongst forum members seems more common when certain subjects are discussed. I've been personally insulted by posters who, IMO, I have not insulted, and they never do seem to "get it." They just double down on personal attacks, as you did with this post. Backed in a corner, they lash out.

Is this the best conservatives can do? It seems that way from my highly limited perspective.

If I had a wife that was hotter than Olivia Wilde, I damn sure wouldn't be here arguing with us liberals.

Welcome back logger; how was your vacation?

Companies donate money to politicians and get special treatment. Happens every day of the year. On both sides of the aisle. What's different about the Clintons?

Can you really not see what is going on here. Do philanthropists get wealthy from there foundations. Before you liberals play dumb again, there are many ways they use this foundation to enrich themselves. For example, having the foundation pay for travel, lavish travel.

Well political donations go to politicians who are running not those already in office. If you donate money to someone already in office its called bribery.

That would be quite convenient for the Clintons, lol

And inconvenient for the poster who initiated the thread. Silly me for introducing facts and evidence contrary to your preconceptions.

Oh, lol and rofl. Twice each.

Give an example of them becoming wealthy from Foundation money.

Give an example of the lavish travel paid for by the Foundation money.

How about flying first class.

The post of mine you quoted gave a broad example of lavish travel, Do you not know what that means? If so, why not?

Which evidence and facts did you put forth?

Is it ethical for two liberals to become incredibly wealthy working for a charity?
I'm a little confused. You seemed to have left out the salaries of Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea. How much did they get paid by the foundation?

I'd like to know that also. Thanks.

I'm not a Clinton fan. Never was. I don't want to vote for her. Given the bizarre nature of the current GOP I might have to. I don't think John Huntsman has a chance (he's not even running) and Chris Christie has left me a bit jaded (if he does run I doubt he will have a chance).

I don't think we will see competent GOP candidates until the extreme wing of the party loses its hold and sanity returns.

They don't get a salary. They use the foundation to pay expenses.

That's just an aside though. Everything they are doing is legal, its just very distasteful, as the article points out.

I'm a little surprised at that. I would think someone as clear headed as you would recognize two low rent shady people when looking at the Clintons.

They are competent. They get the job done. I hated Bill but it was the best time of my life.

Give me an alternative? The current GOP clown car is so absurd as to make Bill and Hillary look like rocket scientists and saints.

  • Donald J. Trump. Trump, a perennial-potential Republican presidential candidate, donated between $100,001 to $250,000 to the foundation.
