Poor Dorian, bad luck just follows him around.
Police have arrested Dorian Johnson, the man who was walking with Michael Brown when he was fatally shot by an officer in Ferguson, Missouri.

Officers arrested Johnson Wednesday after he allegedly interfered with an arrest and was seen "discarding suspected narcotics on the ground," St. Louis County Police spokeswoman Leah K. Freeman said.http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/06/us/dorian-johnson-arrested/

It's not his fault. White people make him break the law! He has no choice in what happens to him.

I completely understand. Hopefully he'll get that $25,000 that he so rightfully deserves for having to suffer that horrible ordeal that he and his friend instigated that ended so tragically.

Why did you stop the quote there? From the article:
Charges in the case have not yet been filed, Freeman said. Johnson's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The arrest came on the same day that an attorney announced Johnson is suing the city of Ferguson, its former police chief and former officer Darren Wilson.

Another report:
Dorian Johnson was arrested Wednesday afternoon, KSDK-TV reported. Police had been called to check on a group of people who were possibly armed with guns. Johnson was accused of approaching an officer to keep him from making an arrest, and police say he also threw suspected narcotics onto the ground.
Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions before knowing the facts.

So....I don't get it. What are you saying is wrong what the previous statement? I have to be missing something. It looks like he was arrested for trying to bide time for his buddies to get rid of drugs or guns, and then had to get rid of some himself. While charges haven't been pressed that isn't all that telling. They can hold him for up to 72 hours, why not wait until they have all of the information available before pressing charges?

Based on, at this point, what evidence?

Oh Jesus Christ. Is there any way that criminals could possibly be criminals in your world, Upchurch?

Absolutely. People are criminals when the evidence supports that they have broken the law until, IMHO, the point when they have paid their debt to society through prison time, fines, community service, etc.

When are they criminals in your world, carlitos? When a cop says they're criminals?

From the article:
[Johnson] has been charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest.

[...]

Sources told the Post-Dispatch that the "suspicion of drug possession" charge against Dorian Johnson stemmed from a drink officers found with him at the time of his arrest, which they believed to be a mixture of cough medicine and an illegal narcotic. Sources told the newspaper that the crime lab did not find the presence of any narcotics in the drink, therefore the Circuit Attorney's Office declined to charge him for drug possession.
So, assuming the Post Dispatch's sources are correct, there were no weapons and no drugs. Just the fallback charge of resisting arrest.

Is he still a criminal, carlitos, or should we wait for more information?

I'm sorry, how does any of that mean he wasn't arrested?

I never said he wasn't arrested. My complaint is that you were cherry-picking the narcotics aspect, which turned to be bogus, while neglecting the possible ulterior motive the police might have for harassing Johnson.

Of course, I don't blame you for not knowing about the other issues, since your article didn't mention them. That's why I provided another for a more complete picture.
