I have about the last 5 or 6 of his books still to read. I don't like the idea of not having any more that I haven't read, so when I've read those....... ho hum.
I think there's only 3 other famous people who have died in the last 20 ish years that I've felt any kind of loss, as their works have been so enjoyable. Mr Pratchett has given so much joy to so many.
Was the Alzheimers expected to be terminal so soon? I note no cause of death was mentioned, and he did have a high profile position in favour of euthanasia.
He had been saying for some time that he never expected to go on writing as long as he did after the Embuggerance was pronounced... productive and sparkling to the end.
