Presidential Primaries 2016

Aaand Clinton may have a bit of a problem already.

Not sure exactly how big a scandal this email thing is or will be, but Vox (which is liberal) seems to be taking a hard line.

"The most transparent administration in history." :D

Oh Christ, you gotta me kidding me. This is what I'm worried about. She just shows bad judgment way too often. This personal email thing is a no-brainer. There's no one in government who doesn't understand what's wrong with that, and anyone who doesn't understand it is sensibility impaired.

I predict that when it comes to answering for this, she's going to make a mealy-mouthed mess out of it.

I might vote for Hilary, but I agree she has a problem with "elitist entitlement." The rules aren't written for her.

Hilary will never win the Dem nomination. History will repeat itself, a relative unknown (at this time) will beat her. I don't know who that is but we'll find out next year.

I still think she will win the nomination, but how she responds to this scandal will be a good indicator of whether her political skills have been honed. If she mushes out some rambling BS that betrays lack of preparation, it will indicate serious flaws. The answer needs to be crisp, rehearsed, sensible (as in, someone who knows things advised her and she listened) and understandable. That's not to say it needs to be truthful, but that would be nice too.

The problem for Hilary as I see it, is that Dems may think she would be a good president and that she could win but if given a viable option they will take that option. No polls or anything to back that up, just a gut feeling.

At some point during Obama's first year, there must have been at least one senior official who dealt with the political fallout of Karl Rove using a personal address, then turned around and fired off an email to the personal address that Hillary Clinton used exclusively. That this continued for four years is baffling.

I don't know if it's all that baffling. The Bush people got away with it as far as I can tell. H. Clinton correctly predicted that she would get away with it also and seems to have done so. The incentive is to avoid transparency/scrutiny. It might hurt her election chances, but then again her emails being transparent might have also hurt her.

European bookies still have her at 1:3 to win the nomination.

On the other hand they also offer George Clooney at 80:1, so I am not yet convinced that they have an accurate handle the organized chaos known as US presidential primaries.

Chelsea ranges from 200:1 to 500:1.
Alec Baldwin is around 500:1

ETA
and Michele Obama falls between 80:1 and 250:1.

I have not analyzed all the statistics yet, but I would hazard a wager that over 75% of people of have been a senator and high ranking cabinet member are firm believers in elitist entitlement. The only real variable is if the public perceives it to be big enough to be a problem.

The candidate who occasionally comes up as a dark horse is Martin O'Malley (Maryland governor), who is certainly a legitimate unknown. He looks like a solid contender: handsome, socially liberal but with an excellent record on crime-fighting. His main perceived weakness is one that Hillary would have a hard time exploiting; there are rumors of infidelity to his wife.

Wait... nobody thinks Biden could knock Hillary out? :duck:

Speaking of which, it's pretty clear by now that Biden isn't going to run, right? When it comes to the first round of wholesale strike-throughs, he's on that list.

Why wouldn't Biden run?

....an assortment of correspondence sent to Hillary Clinton at the e-mail address ****@clintonemail.com. The “clintonemail.com” domain was registered in 2009, shortly after her nomination to become Secretary of State."

So she set up a domain after being nominated and did ALL of her official work there.

Wow.
