Continuation Part 11: Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito

What happened to their surnames?

EDT does anyone remember that report that surfaced a few months ago. It was dated from Jan 08, something like that, and it was the outcome of an investigation into these drug contacts. Almost all I remember is the phrase 'would have' as in, Knox would have had sex with these men - something like that. Anyway, if you know of it, please dig it up and re-post it. We can get Vibio to translate it for us.

All I know is that coinciding with the bogus claim about Knox's factoid contacts with drug dealers.....

.... were surreptitious photos taken by a hired paparazzi who only got ones of AK passing some Yankee greenbacks to her boyfriend.

One of the tabloids paid big money for those shots - all to pair them with a headline, "Is Knox buying drugs?" It then made oblique reference to those three Italian dudes with no surnames - one of whom is Fredrico.

Throw this into the file marked, "all the other evidence."

Statements such as these are used to draw attention away from the fact that the Italian authorities - police and prosecutor (Mignini) - are considered by some to have used Rudy Guede as an informant, and they allowed him to return to Perugia after he was arrested in the nursery in Milan, rather than pressing charges and placing in detention a dangerous burglar. Thus, the authorities may be considered morally and perhaps even legally responsible for enabling Guede to murder and rape Meredith Kercher.

One can only conclude that the invective and racist remarks that are postedd are all part of the effort to hide errors and sloppy work by the Italian police.

Draw attention away... from the fact that... are considered by some... :D
.. "Considered by some" becomes "a fact"...
But don't be ridiculous about the Milan episode because that really is worth to make a fool of oneself: you are calling "dangerous burglar" a chap who was carrying a stolen laptop. And what are the charges? Do you think you could keep a person in prison on those charges? It's absolutely grotesque. I suggest you climb down from the apple tree and have a look at reality.

Well fair enough DF. Maybe I'm reaching there. But let's do a quick review, and you fill in the blanks.

1. When Rudy went to the law office after he returned from Milan (was it Oct 29, 2007), and tried to explain to the lawyers whose office he had broken into, and ransacked, that he came into possession of their cell phones and laptop as an innocent dupe of the true culprit - that strikes you as what, smart?

2. When Rudy is caught in (Tremantano?) apartment, is chased around the place, pulls a knife on him, and the owner says, "just leave". And Rudy's reply is, "How can I leave if the door is locked?".

Rudy's subtext being, "this is my fault? Why get mad at me, you locked the door". Again, an indication of a well thought out guy?

3. When Rudy killed Meredith and decided to pleasure himself over her body as she lay dying. Rudy's first thought is to get away asap, or to rub one out?
And you interpret that as what, cleverness?

4. When Rudy leaves his dumps in the toilets, this is a kind of tone poem?

5. Rudy couldn't read his own letter in court at the Hellman appeal, Mignini had to read it for him, a letter that he had supposedly written, changing his story yet again to implicate AK/RS. Being semi-illiterate doesn't count at least a little towards dim-wittery?

6. Have you seen Rudy's impression of Dracula on youtube? He should have been arrested for that alone.

So how then do you rate Rudy's intelligence? (Although, I do not subscribe to the idea that intelligence is a yardstick, with greater or lesser than. Rather I'm aware of the suggestion that there are 17 or more separate areas of ability or talent. But come on DF, some people just come across as smarter. And others as 'less so'. IMO, Rudy is not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, ok?)

Should I edit out dimwitted? At some point has Rudy crossed the threshold and entered the land of ' less than rational'? But you tell me, I'm open.

(Did I tell you how good it felt to describe Rudy as dimwitted? ... stricken from the record...)

I have no problem with being less than rational . . . . Just I know some pretty smart people who are just bad at certain things.
I am curious, what is your source on Guede pulling a knife on somebody? I

Wow. So these three individuals with Italian-sounding names were caught.
Caught at what? Do you mean apprehended by police? Charged with a crime?
Convicted by a court? An Italian court, with verdict finalized?

Show us their full names and evidence of their convictions and what they were convicted of, and where they lived and when. And provide citations that we can trace.

Remember Amanda was only in Italy as free person - not in prison - for about six weeks.

Do you realize that you just spewed a series of unsupported defamatory accusations against prosecutors and innocent people, insinuated about a series of plots and conspiracies, nothing of which you cared to back with anything resembling a shred of evidence?
You do.
Who are you to expect from me to provide you "evidence" of things?
Amanda Knox's phone contacts and the conviction of three drug dealers as a consequence of her sexual and social lifestyle, is information reported by local newspapers, La Nazione, Il Giornale dell'Umbria and Umbria24 in 2010. Later the police paper was picked again by Giallo magazine. The names of the attorneys are public. Federico Martini is one of the people, born in Rome in 1975. And you demand that I should "prove" you things? Do you research on your own. Speak with journalists and with attorneys. You have all information you need.

IIRC, I saw it mentioned in both Burleigh and Dempsey's books. I consider them fair journalists, though Burleigh in particular. I can try to fish it out if that's important.

I think the knife scars were mentioned in Burleigh as well, she has a separate chapter on Rudy Guede. Apparently she was only the second reporter to actually follow up on the back story of Rudy Guede.

Info is always hard to verify, especially here. Guede's claims are in the record, but not necessarily reliable. Stopries of Christian Tremantano I believe were barred by MAssei from testifying in court, but reported in books. So does that mean the story "isn't substantiated"?

So your view of Guede is what:

a) genius
b) very smart
c) average
d) below average (I'd put Mignini here, or possibly one level higher, but has the added handicap that he is mentally unbalanced).
e) mO-Ron.

If you someday find yourself in a civil court case in the US, and had to defend one hundredth of your slanders, you would be very lucky to walk out of a courtroom owning your underwear.

(He also stole a knife from the kitchen and the Nursery school owner, and others present all said they thought Guede was dangerous, IIRC. But I agree, the whole of this case can be seen in this Milan incident. Mignini and the Perugian authorities freeing Guede from Milan to return and kill meredith is what this case is all about, and why Mignini, the Perugians and the Judiciary are so determined to hide the truth of their own responsibility for Ms Kercher's murder by Guede.)

However...

I think its fair to ask you to explain your answer here. Why do you think the Florence prosecutors wanted to take the Narducci file away from the Perugian prosecutor? Very simple question.

If you want to, you can reply in secret code, I'll understand.

Bumping this post because I feel cheated that Mach has not responded.

(By the way Mach, this is for me one of the most fascinating parts of the case. We, or I at least, am very limited in what materials are available, much less in English. I haven't read Micheli's dismissal of Mignini's case against the Florence 20, I heard it was over 900 pages, and filed over a year after his verdict was given - and two months after Hellman's acquittal motivation was released. But Micheli could not have been too prejudiced against Dr Mignini, because he allowed Mignini's case against Raf and Amanda to go to trial. So just how anti-Mignini could judge Micheli really be in Mignini's abuse of office trial? I appreciate any light you can shed on this question, and that posed below in highlight).

Venue is not a technicality: the appeals court found out that the Florentine court acted abusively from the investigation stage. Mignini's prosecution was also a party against him. It's more than a technicality. It turns the trial into a monstrum.
And by the way, actually, one thing that you probably miss is that Mignini was in fact cleared of the main charge even in the Florence monstrum trial: he had been accused of manufacturing a tape, and he managed to prove the tape was authentic. Mignini and Giuttari actively proved their innocence on the main charge.
The rest of the charges, "abuse of office" instances, were completely fuzzy and with no sort of evidence of any kind (in fact the entire motivation report basically just talks about a series of rants against Giuttari, and seems to blame Mignini for not having put distance between himself and Giuttari). In fact, the trial was an obvious move - a "war between prosecution offices" - meant to serve the obvious purpose of thwarting the Narducci investigation, take the file away from Perugia's hands.

Let's suppose your interpretation is correct here. What does the Florence prosecutor want to achieve by "thwarting the Narducci investigation, and taking the file away from Perugia's hands"?

Because I agree with this position. But why do you think they want to do this?

Do you believe they are protecting the satanic masonic conspiracy, or are part of it somehow? Why would they want to frustrate the Narducci investigation, unless they are themselves part of the conspiracy?

Or alternatively, they do it because the conspiracy never existed, and they just want to stop an out of control public menace the Narducci investigations had become?

I think they were trying to stop Mignini from starting anymore witch hunts, would be my guess. (I'm betting you don't agree).

Guede is obviously a compulsive liar but, who told you he was a semi-literate?
Is that another of the innocentisti hoaxes? ( yes).

In fact 1) Guede appeared better educated than Sollecito and spoke a more correct Italian. 2) his letter was obviously not written by a lawyer; it was good sophisticated but not fully controlled, and was not written by an Italian mother tongue but by a French mother-tongue.

Edit: I think this issue with Christian Tremantano is potentially bad identification. . . .That is certainly possible

This may be one of those rare times when there is an issue in English rendering. Please, then let me double-check your meaning here:

Are you saying that Amanda Knox's "sexual and social lifestyle" resulted in these people's convictions? Did she cooperate with Italian police in procuring these convictions?

I have no idea what you're saying here, other than to imply guilt by association. However, the meaning has room for her helping to bring them to justice.

But they were obviously trying to kill the Narducci investigation, for the same reason why they side tracked investigations around the MoF case in Florence. Not because they are protecting the MoF killers, by because if they uncovered the MoF group entirely, they would have exposed the network of power of a prominent Florentine politician, who, as long as he was alive, was able to control a section of security apparatus of the state.
If you want a recent comparison, to understand, search about the London parliament pedophilia scandal. That kind of situation I exactly what the politics group intended to cover. It's a part if the State.

Can you explain why you have not just accused someone of what is called here, "obstruction of justice"?

Well thanks for answering Mach. This is even a deeper layer than we've seem before. I don't know how much detail you can go into, but I gather the prominent Florentine official has died at this point, as you used the past tense "was alive", so i guess that narrows things down for us. Other issues of "security apparatus", I am unfamiliar with, so I don't dispute you on this point. The parliament pedophilia scandal in London I hadn't heard about either. So in your view, the effort to take away the Narducci file from Perugia, was because the claims in it were true, the Florence 20 were all guilty of the crimes alleged, and the Florence prosecution of Mignini and Giutarri was a favor to the powerful Florence politician who controlled the state security apparatus. Well ok, I guess that's an answer.

But Micheli's dismissal of the Florence 20 case in 2010, I thought Michele said Mignini's case file was "just so much waste paper". You said Michele upheld some of the lesser charges, but not the charge for criminal conspiracy. And Michele withheld his motivation report for over a year from his decision (normally issued in 90 days), thus delaying the opportunity to appeal. Was Michele's delay in releasing his motivation report a strategy to insure the remaining charges would be dismissed due to statute of limitations?

CDV closing arguments http://murderofmeredithkercher.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/KnoxDefenseClosing.docx

Rudy Guede: the Supreme Court ruling deems important his statement given through the letter sent to his lawyers […] and the ruling gives importance to this letter, a letter, by the way, written – and one cannot but think that – by someone else, since he … and you even have evidence of this; just read the Coblence memorial, he writes a memorial, just like Amanda did, when he was arrested in Germany. Rudy Guede is almost illiterate. Both the style and the content of that memorial are worthy of a child. It shows grammatical mistakes. The letter instead is perfect.

hand print

MichaelB,

Didn't Dan O. finally point out the hand print on the pillow case, or am I mistaken? RoseMontague might remember.

Ask Carolina or Marta

The cops at some point went to Rudy Guede's flat.
Heck, in the last Spanish article I posted here,
which I believe Katy_did had posted on IIP awhile back and I then found, well we learned that Rudy Guede's flatmate, Carolina and her friend Carlos, who himself had spoken with Rudy Guede on Halloween by phone when Rudy called him for directions and had partied with Rudy that night, were called up when in Switzerland and told to return to Perugia for questioning, I assume immediately.

The cops called Carlos because they got his phone # from whatever phone Rudy was using on Halloween, it appears.

When did the cops 1st become suspicious of Rudy and show up at his flat? Guede was a neighbor of two girls from Valladolid, Marta and Carolina, who shared the floor with two Italians: Nicoletta and Sara.

Can't someone find Carolina Espinilla Martin or Marta Fernandez Nieto on Facebook or elsewhere and ask them when the cops came to investigate Rudy?

Here's the 1st article on the Spanish Erasmus students.

I've found another story regarding the Spanish Eramus students,
from Oct of 2011, around the same time as the 1 posted previously.

Who here speaks Spanish fluently and can translate this into English?

Keep in mind 2 of them shared the flat where Rudy Guede lived.

This 1 looks to have some gems in it.
Anyone wanna have a go?

Here's the link to a new article I found:
http://elpais.com/diario/2011/10/09/domingo/1318132357_850215.html

I used this Spanish translation website which uses 3 translators to read abit of it:
http://www.spanishdict.com/translation

The foci have already gone out in Perugia. Amanda Knox is sitting on the grass of Seattle and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito overlooking the Mediterranean in his village in the South of Italy. The mother of Meredith Kercher - the 21-year-old English girl murdered 43 stab wounds of November 1, 2007 - has returned home with empty hands of Justice. An appellate court in Perugia just acquit to Amanda and Raffaele by the murder of her daughter. They were arrested shortly after the crime and sentenced in 2009 to 26 and 25 years in prison, respectively. In total, they have spent in prison - under the stigma of assassins - four years of their young lives.
<snip>
Etc.

But this part gets interesting:

"Creating a character with each person who knew. Perugia is a city full of students and people in a year is not that of the next,"says Carlos, who knew Rudy Guede during their Erasmus. He describes it as spontaneous, talkative and fun air rapper dressed and spoke in English, although it had been years in Italy. He attended parties with the Spanish Erasmus group who met because he lived in the same building as two of them. She told that he was an engineer, who was born in South Africa and who worked with Armani, so he designed a system of microrobotics intended to regulate the lighting of the parades.

The day after the murder of Meredith, Rudy left the House. Surprised no one, because he frequently disappeared to go to Milan; for its employment(job) with Armani, he was saying. Police called to the young Spaniards. "They came to the House and cordoned off everything," says Carol. "When we told them of what we knew about him, the policemen they laughed, insinuating that we were naive".

Here's the article, in case it's lost on the Web sometime soon:

Can anyone find out when the cops came and cordoned off Rudy's flat
and when Carlos and Carolina were called when in Switzerland and told to come back to Perugia?

Notice that Machiavelli is not actually responding with evidence of the convictions of these three persons who were "caught", merely some references to an attorney and newspapers.

Let's see some actual court papers that show what the three individuals were convicted of, how they were caught, where they lived, when they met Amanda. Otherwise, everyone will realize that this is merely another guilter hoax.

Call the police?

Hi Carbonjam72,
Don't forget to add to your Rudy in the Nursery School file that he said to call the police!

And if I recall correctly, (err, I think I do), Rudy Guede was also in possession of stolen keys when the cops searched him at the school.

I think it was Grinder or Acbytesla who wondered how did the cops know they were stolen, did they have a Masserati key on 'em or somethin'?

Here's part of the quote, I posted it again the other day:
However then in the morning I saw this lady and a child and some men, I explained everything to the lady, how things had happened, and I said to the lady to call the Police. Then the Police came who then seized my cell phone and computer.
Napoleoni: Was the cell phone yours Rudy?

Weird how Rudy said to call the cops, no?

Thanks for reminding us that there are allegations of criminal behavior, besides what they did in the Amanda Knox-Raffaele Sollecito case, for a number of the Perugian police. There are media reports indicating an investigation of the corruption of these police officers, who apparently were removed from their former positions. These are the kind of people who you appear to be supporting with your adulation.

CBS) - An obscure child custody case in Perugia, Italy has revealed what prosecutors allege was a rogue group of four detectives in the town's elite homicide squad. Three of the detectives currently under investigation worked on the Meredith Kercher homicide in 2007 - and may shed light on how the murder squad bungled the interrogation of Amanda Knox in November 2007.
....
Monica Napoleoni and lawyer Vittorio Recolcati were married and are now divorced. They share custody of a son. Last year, Napoleoni asked a Perugia court to revoke her former husband's parental rights. The court appointed psychologist Francesca Ciammarughi to evaluate the divorced parents and what was best for the boy. The psychologist submitted a report that said the father, Recolcati, should retain his rights.

After Ciammarughi's report led the court to reject Napoleoni's petition, a few detectives in the Perugia murder squad began investigating the psychologist. Prosecutors say "hundreds of questions" were put into the internal police computer concerning the psychologist. The questions were about the properties she owned, the accounts she maintained, the type of car she drove, and the number on her license plates. The inquiries were made on November 14 and 16, 2012 - just days before the disturbing incidents directed first at the psychologist and then the former spouse.

Prosecutors say murder squad detective Lorena Zugarini oversaw the illegal computer inquiries. Zugarini also worked on the Kercher case and was one of Amanda Knox's interrogators. Nina Burleigh described Zugarini as being "built like an East German swimmer." For Knox aficionados, Zugarini is best remembered for a 2007 video showing her kicking in a glass door at the Kercher crime scene.

In February 2013, a judge suspended Zugarini from the police department for two months because of her misuse of the police computer system. She, Napoleoni and two other murder squad detectives remain under investigation for abuse of power, though a judge has said it is not inconceivable that Zugarini could have "operated on her own initiative" - in other words, went rogue.

Have there been other times when murder squad detectives operated on their "own initiative" and violated a person's right? Say, for example, in the Meredith Kercher murder case?

In that case, which detective decided not to have an audio tape recording of Amanda Knox's interrogation, even though it was otherwise standard procedure? Which detective determined Amanda Knox was not a homicide "suspect" until police got an incriminating statement from her? Zugarini has said she offered Knox a "French pastry," but did not mention a lawyer, even though it was Knox's right to have one.

Napoleoni's murder squad ended up bungling the very high-profile interrogation. The squad's overzealous esprit de corp led the Italian Supreme Court to toss Knox's false confession in April 2008. The Supreme Court said Knox was denied her basic rights during the murder squad interrogation. Still, Napoleoni kept her job and was eventually promoted to deputy commissioner. Zugarini also remained in the murder squad - until this year.

In February 2013, Zugarini, Napoleoni, and two other detectives were transferred out of the murder squad as a result of the Perugia prosecutor's investigation into abuse of power allegations. The Perugia prosecutor also entered wiretap evidence into court which revealed one murder squad detective telling Napoleoini that the detective was concerned about potential questions from the prosecutor about "what we did for you."

The judge in the case has ruled there is no evidence against Napoleoni.

But what happened next is, no doubt, a delicious reversal of fortune for Amanda Knox and her supporters to watch.

Instead of dropping the charges against Napoleoni, the Perugia prosecutor appealed the judge's "no evidence" opinion, leaving Napoleoni under a cloud of suspicion to this day. And Napoleoni's reaction? She told the media, it was "unjustified aggression toward me by the prosecutor" and a "totally subjective interpretation of the facts."
