Video surfaced of Darren Wilson arresting a man for filming him. On the video, you can hear Wilson say that "if you continue to film me I'm going to lock your ass up". Wilson then arrested the man and filed a police report in which he claimed that the man filming him shoved the camera in his face, and Wilson was forced to detain him. None of this is true, as you can see on the video for yourself.

Color me shocked. St. Darren has a history of abusing his authority and then lying about it on official reports.

Since posting in the thread is erratic, I'm still betting that no charges will be filed and he'll get away with it. The Ferguson PD, however, should be disbanded.

I gotta say, making every effort to consider this from an unbiased perspective, that video doesn't seem particularly damning either way. It's far too short to really show anything of any worth in formulating an opinion as to how the incident played out.

Protest from Sunday:

A crowd of a couple hundred demonstrators, angry about the fatal August shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer, took to the streets of St. Louis on Sunday, briefly blocking a major intersection in protest.

Dozens of people lay down in the street outside of a downtown theater hosting a film festival, pretending to have been shot by other protests playing the role of police officers in an action intended to evoke the memory of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who died 100 days ago in front of his home in the suburb of Ferguson, Missouri.

Marchers went on to briefly block a major intersection near Washington University and the event ended without any of the violence that seen in Ferguson following Brown's shooting death by police officer Darren Wilson.

The last paragraph from that article:
He’s lucky Wilson didn’t kill him like he did Brown. Notice the nonverbals- hands on his hips, dismissive and disgusted, condescending and arrogant. Yeah, this guy would never slam his car in reverse to teach young black men a lesson for failing to “get the **** off the road.”
I don't see a problem with this ...blog (?).

This is supposed to damn Wilson?

It's difficult to take a site named "balloon-juice" as seriously as it deserves, but I'll try.

Can you clarify which "it" the hilited refers to ? Are you referring to shooting brown , or is this new incident Wilson is going to "get away with" ?

A policy of retreating from perceived threats, and one of allowing violent people to run off, IMO would render police useless, and embolden criminals.

Wilson then arrested the man and filed a police report in which he claimed that the man filming him shoved the camera in his face...
Sounds like a perceived threat to me.

Reminds me of all of those suicides of South African activists in police custody. As long as it is plausible, right?

What stands out to me is just how little time these events took to play themselves out. The stealing in progress report was dispatched at 1153 and Brown ended up face-down on the pavement just 10 minutes later and almost a half mile away.

Wilson cleared a sick baby call at 1200 -- three minutes later he will shoot and kill Michael Brown. Wilson very clearly entered the search for Brown and Johnson and was actively seeking information referencing the sealing BOLO from the dispatcher and the other canvassing units.

There are images of the pages of the report that were not included in WildCat's link. That's what I'm referring to.

I see the last page (the handwritten one) is not in Wildcats link. It doesn't appear to add any useful information.

Do you think it had any useful information ?

I guess no clarification on the "lies" is forthcoming.

And where can we see those images, and can you quote the parts where Wilson lied?

So, wait. If Brown has video showing that he performed a strong-armed robbery minutes before the altercation with Brown, it's hand-waived away. You've rationalized it several times throughout this and the previous thread. Now that one, single, individual encounter has shown up, to which we don't know the circumstances, it establishes a "history". It's almost like there is more than 1 set of standards or something.

Those images are in the link I provided:
There are more pages to that report ...reportedly.

The second image outlines the the lies that the news article refers to.

The lies were outlined in the Guardian article as well as several other articles quoted in this thread. Perhaps you should take the time to read those so we don't waste more time rehashing items that have already been discussed.
