Also, I don't know that Wilson was on the scene for any more than 5-10 minutes after the shooting.

I'm just pointing out that if you try to apprehend a person through an open window in a car you are likely going to bang your arms and head on that opening. Whether the door is open or not.

In skeptic terms: the claim that the injury could not have come from the door, because the door wasn't opened much, is counter to my experiences. With mailboxes.
 
Are there enough pics available to count the orange cones? I suspect each on eis over an empty shell casing, and that a count of cones would tell us how many shots were fired, +/- a hat or two,and some smokes..

The video is about a minute or two, right? The one the female witness took right after the shooting that was on CNN?

Reports posted to this thread say that minutes after the shooting two other police arrived, along with an ambulance which was in the area due to Wilson's other call. Wilson was treated and removed from the scene soon after the shooting according to those reports and the above video doesn't disprove that.

I don't think I would have been able to WALK after this injury.

I have no idea, frankly, as far as I'm concerned the best information out there suggests Wilson took a hit to the face which caused swelling. Whether it was an 'orbital blowout fracture' or not has not been determined with certainty and I tend to doubt it. The last word I've read on it is that initial anonymously sourced report of an orbital blowout fracture was false which was tweeted from a CNN reporter.

Surely, I'm missing something there. Which is likely because I have skipped dozens of pages in this thread.

Some withness said one of the assistant chiefs of police took him away, sooner rather than later IIRC.

I think it may be cigar related? I think I see a similar item when Brown jerks back from leaning over the counter. Something with a black bottom.
Maybe a cardboard cigar display cup or box?

However, he appears to put it back on the counter and leave without it. Unless another one fell on the floor and he picked it up?

Only a reported swollen face and the video showing Wilson at the scene, pacing back and forth. At no time does he reach for his eye or show any evidence of being seriously injured.

But lets keep running with the severely beaten nearly unconscious with an eye socket fracture. It sounds so ... right.:rolleyes:

As for having to go to the hospital, that's standard procedure for cops with just about any on the job injury.

Enough for a court of law to decide one way or the other, but I suspect that it won't be unequivocal.

I don't discount them, but I see no reason, at this stage, to give one more credence than the rest. Eye witness testimony is notoriously prone to error, whatever the situation and they contradict each other on important details.

I've been over at DailyKos reading the comments. Wilson better hope those guys aren't on the jury. The narrative over there is consistent. All the available facts fit the narrative that Wilson blasted away without a justifiable reason and for some of the posters he blasted away without any reason at all.

I think this situation has become horribly politicized and the left wing is attempting to abuse the tragedy with the same intensity that the right wing abused the Benghazi tragedy.

There is some difference here. It appears that it is possible to prove that the Benghazi scandal was manufactured out of nothing but a tragic incident. Here the facts are still not knowable and may never be. But a great deal of information that will allow a reasoned review of the incident has just not been released and thus for the average person following this case there is no evidence based conclusion possible.

As to the eyewitnesses, obviously Dorian Johnson has no credibility. He is a criminal with a history of lying to the police with a vested interest in pitching a self serving story even if that story is guaranteed to inflame the community. As to the other eyewitnesses: Where were they when the incident happened? Are there factors in their lives which suggest they are credible or not credible? What was said most contemporaneously with the incident? How do the various stories stack up with the autopsy and the crime scene as it was found?

The fact is that some people are particularly willing to tell a story that supports the group narrative. It is difficult to evaluate the likelihood of that until we can begin to assess the various factors that support or detract from the witnesses' credibility.

It might well come down to which witnesses will the Jury Believe?

There will be a trial of some sort, if the County fails to indict, the Feds will have a Civil Rights viiolation charge.

And if there was ever a case that should have a change of Venue, it is this one.
