griffinmill,

I asked Dr. Lednev two question (see previous page for what they were verbatim), and he provided the two answers I quoted. The answers are not a surprise to anyone who reads up on these matters, but I appreciate how uncomfortable this information makes PG commenters feel. “It's not hard to find the truth. What is hard is not to run away from it once you have found it.” link

So just publish the whole conversation.

To you and you only: Would you ever believe a PGP report that quoted a scientist but didn't publish the interview?

Why would you not want to see the full V&L transcript? You haven't seen it. Do you just assume it says what you want it to say?

As I understand it Griffin, this was an email exchange between Chris and Dr. Virkler and Professor Lednev and their answers to Chris's questions are there before you. If you have other questions for Virkler and Lednev, I think you should ask them yourself as opposed to calling Chis a liar.

Just a thought.

Stefanoni is a topic YOU are trying to bring up. I NEVER brought it up. You are also not responding to any question I asked, but desperately trying to make Stefanoni the ONLY topic.

I find it conspicuous that you are not talking about why Halkides won't simply produce the full transcript of his conversation, even when he already lied and said he did.

I just want to talk about this issue. And I look forward to the full transcript I hope Halkides will provide.

Who said you get to come here and control the direction from which information flows? It would seem that, at least in your own mind, you are the keeper of the canal, and controller of its locks. This is transparent nonsense.

What is your opinion on Ergon's efforts at refuting Dr. Peter Gill? Do you find him a preposterous and impertinent fool, out of his depth, as do I?

Are you serious? You have ONE quote! Nothing even remotely approximating a whole interview. And again, if Balding was quoted as saying Raf's DNA on the clasp was incontrovertible (which he said, actually), wouldn't you want to read the whole interview?

Why didn't Stefanoni use a HemaTrace test?

It has everything to do with what you asked. You're proceeding on the assumption that there's more to that correspondence than Chris Halkides posted yet you've no interest in why Stefanoni hid the results of the TMB tests and lied about it in court.

How can anyone take that kind of 'curiosity' seriously?
Kaosium,

Good point. The nicest thing one could say is about such a position is that it is grossly inconsistent. Griffinmill is saying, "Look over there, a squirrel!" while pointing to an imaginary squirrel. It doesn't answer the questions that are being touched upon here in a serious manner. For example, why couldn't Stefanoni use a HemaTrace test? It would be absurd to argue that the lower limit of detection for this test leaves anything to be desired in comparison with any presumptive test.

What do you think of the fact that Balding got his data through the work of Conti & Vecchiotti? Do you share with Machiavelli that this is a fruit from a poison tree sort of situation?

What do you make of the fact that Dr. Peter Gill believes categorically that the DNA in this case is unsafe, and has devoted a chapter in his recent book to this belief? Dr. Peter Gill is one of the true founders of the use of DNA science in crime scenes, and has professional accolades that far exceed Balding's. Are you still more inclined to trust Balding? And, if so, why?

No. Griffinmill is asking you to produce the full transcript of an interview YOU conducted which you quote liberally from that no one else has ever seen.

You have your minions to protect you here, but it makes no sense anywhere else in the universe.

Hilarious

Not in the least, pal. It would seem that your rude and repetitive questioning of Chris_Halkides is something to which you are accustomed and think you are entitled. You have provided nothing of value in the transaction to make such demands.

more PG mendacity

griffinmill,

Your contention is the only lie I have seen tonight. Transcript? This was not an in-person interview. I asked Dr. Lednev two questions, and he gave two answers. What I recall saying about a month ago here was that what was in my blog was in the form of direct quotes, as opposed to being paraphrased. Indeed it was. BTW, there isn't a "transcript" of the interview I did with Dr. Balding, either. I asked him more questions, and he gave me more answers.

A poster on this site has quoted experts. Is it rude to ask said poster to publish the whole interview?

griffinmill,

I asked him two questions (which you have now seen), and he supplied two answers. You can even compare the answers against what is in my blog, to see whether or not I missed a comma. Sorry, but your question doesn't make any sense.

Are you serious? You have ONE quote! Nothing even remotely approximating a whole interview. And again, if Balding was quoted as saying Raf's DNA on the clasp was incontrovertible (which he said, actually), wouldn't you want to read the whole interview?

This has been addressed many times Griffin. Chris addressed a couple of questions via email and they were addressed. Your suggestion that he has been lying is the only thing that is offensive.

Whether AK should have been recorded in her interviews is one subject that can be debated.

Really? How would recording her not be the right thing to do? Certainly at the point they were taking the statement they should have turned on the recording devices.

There can't be any doubt that Mignini had the time to realize how important recording his performing notary work was?

But Halkides openly recorded interviews with his subjects. And he purports they said certain things.

So I don't think it's asking for much that he report the full context of those interviews if he is going to quote from it.

Not as important as all the communications Mignini had with Stefanoni and all the files from the good Dr.'s work on the DNA.

two questions asked, two questions answered

griffinmill,

I asked him two questions, and he provided answers to both. Really, it is not half as complicated as you are making it.

Uh, whatever your interview with Balding was light years beyond what you have produced so far with V&L. It makes me laugh that you would equate them. One had questions you asked, followed by anwers.

With V&L, you started by quoting them for YEARS without even a single question as subtext. Now you've added a question and are pretending it was the full interview.

Are you saying that your communication with V&L was even more brief than Baliding?

And why not just produce the conversation so we can read it?

groundhog day redux

And why not just produce the conversation so we can read it?
griffinmill,

I asked two questions, which I quoted here tonight. Dr. Lednev provided answers to both of them. I suggest you read both. Perhaps you have not yet had the time.

griffinmill,

I asked two questions, which I quoted here tonight. Dr. Lednev provided answers to both of them. I suggest you read both. Perhaps you have not yet had the time.

And as I pointed out originally, their answers don't match your specific questions. There is more to the conversation you had which you are not disclosing.

But the more important question that everyone here so devoted to the truth should be asking is why you aren't simply printing the entire interview front to back.

After this whole merry go round, why not just publish it? Are you going to continue to deflect, or just explain why?

Give it up Chris, Griffin is beyond help. He really isn't interested in anything that might change his mind. He is playing "gotcha". Trust me, if you sent more questions to L&V and they provided more detail, he wouldn't believe that either.
