That should be just the inholding property. The site, as near as we've been able to pinpoint it, is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest, so it is an extensively forested landscape. Not that that matters of course, but it at least looks more traditionally squatchy than do the outskirts of Wichita.

Question: Does the woods monkey conservancy play in the national forest or ONLY in the Area X 10 acres?

They initially made more noise about setting up camera traps and hiking in the wider area, but have become increasingly secretive under the maxim that revealing location subjects them to counterproof of claims.

Visitorship to Oachita was estimated at 1.3 million in 2005:

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CC0QFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fs.fed.us%2Frecreation%2Fprograms%2Fnvum%2Freports%2Fyear5%2Fouachita.doc&ei=hRCvU_K4FIbxoATvxIKwBg&usg=AFQjCNFt-3AH_kf_LsEq5z9FlFCVHPm3tQ&bvm=bv.69837884,d.cGU

If you have 1.3 million visitors reporting zero bigfoot sightings on the same land that a handful of people are reporting multiple sightings every time, then it amounts to statistical certainty they are lying.

It was decisively proven they were lying about being miles from the nearest road, because it was an impossibility from any point in the region to be that far from a road.

Granted.

But if they only play woods monkey on 10 acres that should be enuff even for the idiot DWA to see thru!

The howling, roadless wilderness these folks pretend to be exploring amounts to roughly 4 city blocks. http://www.convertunits.com/from/square+feet/to/square+city+block+[Midwest+U.S.]
They can't seem to find compelling physical evidence for a 6 to 9-foot ape on a parcel of land a troop of boy scouts (or a competent deer hunter) could reconnoiter in a day.

I'd like to see how that DWA feller explain that away.

ETA: It should be noted that these apes would necessarily ingress/egress the landholding from the neighboring national forest; that ingress/egress point(s) would be blindingly obvious and an ambush opportunity. This is basic.

...for real animals and genuine hunters.

An interaction zone as small and specific as area x seems to be, and as active as NAWACers claim would've yielded compelling physical evidence in very short order and a type specimen as soon as a competent hunter was engaged. To suggest otherwise displays extreme credulity or disingenuity; there aren't any other options unless you want to invoke the paranormal.

What bigfoot enthusiasts fail to understand is that when their claims become specific in nature, such as area x, informed scrutiny would nearly immediately reveal the possibility of a group 6 to 9-foot bipedal apes frequenting a 10 acre parcel. There would be more than just campfire stories, but there's not; we're not 12 year-olds and this is just silly.

This is a hunting cabin they are renting. Typical of the area. One of the most important reasons for keeping it secret is that hunters kill about 6,000 deer a year in Pushmataha and Leflore counties. When you have hunters staying in the very same cabin killing deer every year but not even seeing bigfoot then you look like idiots. Wouldn't it be amusing to know how many deer are shot every year by renters of this cabin?

But this is important insofar as BLAARGing is concerned. The BLAARGers at the BFF don't want this kind of information. Talk about raining on your parade.

Shrike,

Suckers implies that lying BB actually believes the tall tales hes is spinning.

LBB knows there are no woods monkeys so cabin rental doesn't fall into the sucker category.

Suckers are idgits (shout out to Yosemite Sam) like DWA who profess to believe this nonsense.

He knows there are no woods monkeys but he is writing off all his expenses as "charitable contributions" for tax purposes. Any donations he gets would also be ordinary income if it were not fraudulently posed as a charity dedicated to habitat preservation.

That's why they can afford to stay at a much nicer lodge with restaurant services, and the cabin is their "expedition". Someone posted a picture of that lodge on the main road a while ago and it really was quite nice.

It truly boggles the mind that anyone believes their stories. They claim to have wood apes pelting the cabin with rocks regularly and literally falling out of the trees but not a single shred of evidence to offer.

it is entertaining though to see at least some of the faithful balking at the recent claim of a wood ape breaking a healthy twoo foot tree at the base. Perhaps even LBB has put too much manure on the shovel this time.

There are a lot of things that Bigfoot hasn't done besides the obvious like not dying where we can find it and not getting killed by any of us. Bigfoot has also not killed anyone or injured them. Bigfoot should be flipping over cars and SUVs at campsites and such. It never punches or tears its way into cabins, homes, campers or trailers. Bigfoot never grabbed a tent with people sleeping inside and swung it against a tree smashing the occupants trapped inside. There never was a large rock thrown breaking a skull nor a tree pulled up and swung like a bat killing seven people around a campfire.

I think a good next step for ramping up the Bigfoot hoax quality should start with the flipped cars at campsites. Some big footprints and four upside-down vehicles owned by Bigfooters at a research area ought to kick off the summer right.

Stop making sense. Footers will counter with nonsense and keep believing or pretending to believe.

They'll reply saying there are sighting reports where bigfoots did those things. IIRC there was a poster here who said bigfoots were at the root of some missing people cases. (S)He also said some cases of people found dead with serious injuries were due to raging bigfoots. Another poster claimed to have seen a bigfoot with bad anger management tearing down the trees from a patch of forest while all wildlife run away in fear. Bigfoots are known, they'll say, for tossing hogs around. One even rocked Patterson's VW Beetle!

Against stupidy and blind faith, the gods themselves contend in vain...

Gorillas and chimps beat up on trees, guys. It's a common feature of threat displays and a great way to show off in front of the ladies. Obviously, Bigfoot must do this too, and with bigger trees than any gorilla could attack. We already know that bigfoots have been uprooting trees in Alaska and sticking them back in the ground upside down. Those southern bigfoots in Oklahoma should be similarly powerful.

^So there's another part of the formula: find something that a gorilla might do and multiply by 10. Bigfoot does that.

Certainly WP, you have not forgotten the night of the flying Good n Plenty? :D
Bigfoot just tossing warning signals there, it is just the beginning of....
Only our imaginations can stop us now!

LOL

Does Bigfoot do the pinecone toss thing with other creatures besides humans? If a Bigfoot finds a grizzly bear eating at his favorite berry patch will he hang back hidden in the shrubbery and throw pinecones towards the bear?

For a reasonable person, this would be true, especially since he can't even post a pic of the broken tree, but for most the BFF's it won't matter. It reminds me of Smeja's interview where he claimed to find 40 giant piles of poop that he "knew weren't deer or bear or cat". the morning he shot bigfoot. I always wondered how many bigfoot must have come through to leave 40 piles were he could find them?

Based on the Good-N-Plenty story, we have to add a sense of humor and/or irony to list of Bigfoot traits. BF carried that little piece of candy around until the middle of the night just to lob it back at the guy who spilled it....I bet all the BFs had a laugh about that one!
